alya: Someone other than Yuran and I can organize meatings

yuranlu: when's the great american meatout?

tabbott: March 20 -- during spring break

molly: Ok, we should do something the friday before

molly: [telling history] The meat-out is this day when all the
vegetarian groups try to get people to not eat beef.  Last year we
handed out beef jerky to people in lobby 10 to ensure that they were
aware of all the eating options possible.

yuranlu: so, this year we have this annual tradition of having a beef cookout.  

yuranlu: Tim, you're now in charge of reserving a room for the cookout.  

tabbott: Do you care what room I reserve?

yuranlu: The room we had last year works.

molly: this year we should do it on a different day from when Beat Roast is

yuranlu: Yeah, we should avoid having conflicts with other food sources. 

yuranlu: As an ASA student group, we have free advertising in the Tech

molly: I think we should put ads in the tuesday and friday before the saturday when we have the cookout.  

yuranlu: Someone should call the Tech and find out about this policy.

molly: I think we should help cosponsor Steer Roast so that it can get large event funding.

yuranlu: Poke me about that sometime in the next week and I'll email relevant people.  

yuranlu: We also have a beef jerky machine.  If anyone wants to learn
how to use these tools of beef production, talk to me and I'll show
you how to use the machines.  If you feel like making jerky at a
random time, we'll hook you up with supplies.  We should also have an
event where we make beef jerky.

tabbott: We had a trip to the Hilltop Steakhouse for another
cow-related activity.  We now have some happy beef propaganda

yuranlu: I have a Divine Bovine credit card.  

alya: we should have a trip to the hilltop stakehouse.  

molly: We should do the finals week thing again, as that was a good
service to the MIT community.

straw poll for interest in going to hilltop: about 10 people interested.  

molly: We can also make use the butcher shop for a meeting afterwards.  

yuranlu: We need people to volunteer to run events.  Or, if you have
any other great event ideas, you should try to run them.
