MIT Cable Television adds China Central Television, Deutsche Welle TV and Deutsche Welle Radio 1




MIT Cable Television, with assistance from the Foreign Languages and Literatures section, has added China Central Television 4, Deutsche Welle TV and Deutsche Welle Radio 1 to its channel lineup.

China Central Television is the national TV network of the People's Republic of China. CCTV-4, also known as CCTV International, presents a variety of programming about China's politics, economy, society and culture. Programs are presented in Chinese or English at different times during the day. A schedule for CCTV-4 can be seen at: http://www.cctv.com/english/schedule/epro_frame.html. CCTV-4 is on MIT Cable Television channel 23, or channel 49 for MediaOne subscribers.

Deutsche Welle TV programming includes news, business, science, culture, sports, travel and entertainment in either German or English. MIT Cable Television carries DW TV on cable channel 24, or channel 50 for MediaOne subscribers. Deutsche Welle Radio 1, a German language service, offers news, business news, features and magazine programs and music. DW Radio 1 can be heard on MIT Cable Television channel 12. A schedule for DW Radio 1 can be found at http://www.dwelle.de/dpradio/Welcome.html.
