Lost or Stolen Cards If your MIT Card should be lost, stolen or damaged, it must be reported to the MIT Card Office: In Person: W20-021 Phone: 617-253-3475 email: mitcard@mit.edu web: www.techcash.mit.edu (Active TechCASH customers with MIT certificate) Please notify us if a TechCASH or Payroll Deduction Plan was activated on the card. Active TechCASH customers should report lost cards via the TechCASH website when possible. TechCASH and building access privileges will be turned off automatically. A replacement MIT Card can be issued by the MIT Card Office in the basement of the Stratton Student Center (W20-021) between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM on weekdays. The replacement fee of $15 is payable by check to the MIT Card Office, cash, or TechCASH. This fee applies to all card holders. There is no fee if the card has been stolen and a police report is presented at the time of request. Refunds will not be provided if a police report is presented after the card has been reissued. If you are a student living on campus and you discover your card is missing after business hours, call x3-1500 and page unit 12 to the number where you can be reached and they will let you into your building. At your earliest convenience, please visit the MIT Card Office to have your ID Card replaced. |
