Campus Dining Programs

Campus Dining at MIT prides itself as an active member of the campus community. Whether you are new to campus or a returning student, we invite you to our table. Through an aggressive change and investment process MIT has created a unique and flexible program ensuring you great value, quality choices and inviting social environments to meet with friends. This year you will enjoy greater dining choices than ever before and we have more options coming.

Campus Dining offers two programs: Dining Dollars and the House Dining Membership

Dining Dollars is an alternative to the student TechCASH debit account. The Dining Dollars account can only be used in all dining halls, restaurants, food courts, cafes on campus, card reader-equipped vending machines and for late night pizza delivery

House Dining Membership is a dining program designed by MIT students to support House Dining participation and provide value to MIT community members. Membership entitles House Dining Members to a 50% discount on most purchases at the four House Dining locations and the Simmons late night café. Students who live in a residence with House Dining services, are required to become a House Dining Member and will automatically be enrolled and billed the $300* per semester program fee. Those students are:

All Residents All Residents All Residents All Residents

The House Dining Membership is available to all MIT students, faculty and staff and you can participate regardless of where you choose to live. Many students voluntarily enroll in this program and we encourage you to take advantage as well. To gain the full benefit of this program we recommend that you enroll before the beginning of the term. However, you can enroll on a prorated basis if you choose to participate after the term has started. The prorated fee is determined by the remaining numbers of meals in the semester. Once you have enrolled in the House Dining Membership by completing the enrollment form , no refunds of the enrollment fee will be issued for any reason.
