What is CBF?
Chinese Bible Fellowship (CBF) is a primarily student-led Christian fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. We are affiliated with CBCGB and ICF (see below); we are also a part of the MIT United Christian Organization (UCO).
We meet weekly for a time of prayer, praise, and Bible study. Service within our fellowship is encouraged, with opportunities in worship, teaching, and many more areas. We also have weekly prayer meetings. In addition, we actively participate in intramural sports (i.e., D-league Hockey) and have many other hangouts.
Our vision is to train and equip young men and women with the proper tools and experience in exalting our God, encouraging our brothers and sisters, and evangelizing the world, through praise, inductive bible study, community service, and prayer.
What is ICF?
Intercollegiate Fellowship (ICF) is the college fellowship of CBCGB. We meet every Friday night at CBCGB for a time of worship and Bible study with members of other colleges in the area, including Wellesley, Bentley, Olin, BU, Berklee, UMass, and Babson. Besides Friday night fellowship, we do a variety of large group activities throughout the year. If you would like to learn more about ICF or have questions about rides, please contact Jeremy (jtchang).
What is CBCGB?
Chinese Bible Church of Greater Boston (CBCGB) is an interdenominational church located in Lexington, MA. CBCGB’s purpose is to glorify God by advancing the reign of Christ through: worship and prayer, spiritual formation, community fellowship, ministry, and service, and evangelism and missions.
Though the service of the church is geared towards people of Chinese backgrounds, there is a wide diversity of people from many different ethnicities and walks of life.
There are many opportunities for service within CBCGB; feel free to inquire about the numerous ministries CBCGB supports.
Transportation to CBCGB is provided from the MIT campus every Friday night and Sunday morning. For special occasions, arrangements can also be made.
Please visit www.cbcgb.org for more information about CBCGB.
Why are there so many letters involved?
Your guess is as good as mine.
