| Welcome
to the web site of the MIT Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC)
community! MITCCC is an interdenominational student group
that is also a part of a city-wide Christian ministry called
Real Life, a partnership between CCC and local churches in
Boston.
My name is Mike Bost. I have been serving on the staff with
CCC for ten years, five of those years in Boston. My wife,
Michelle, is also on staff, and we have three kids: Jessica
(‘97), Caleb (’99) and Ethan (’03).
Spirituality is not usually thought of as a high priority
for students in college, especially one that is as demanding
as MIT. Who has the time for it? But these four years are
prime years of development of the whole person: the physical,
the intellectual, the social and the spiritual. Habits formed
in these four areas during the collegiate years form a trajectory
that sets a direction for the rest of life. Spirituality is
foundational to life—asking and answering questions
like: What have I been made for? For whom or for what purpose
should I live? Is there a God and how is he relevant in my
life? Does what I do in this life matter in the next?
The MIT CCC community is a group who journeys together to
seek answers to these questions. We believe that Jesus Christ
is the great “clue” in the search for these answers.
His claims, his teachings and his promises are unique, bringing
life and change to those who hold to them. We believe that
those who find this clue are called by God to share it with
others because God’s love is not just for a select few,
but is extended to all. This is not a private truth to be
horded, but public truth to be discussed among, examined by,
and shared with all.
So whether you are someone who is looking to replace a faith
that is not working for you or doesn’t seem to correspond
well to truth, someone who is looking to reinvigorate a faith
that you have been brought up with, or someone who is looking
to find faith for the first time, you are more than welcome
to join us and seek truth with us.
Mike
