Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) precautions, the MIT/DL Club is cancelling games at MIT until at least June 2021. The club instead will hold our weekly games on Bridge Base Online in the 7NTWorld virtual club.

Here is a message from Mark Throop containing information about 7NT World, where we will be having our weekly games during the COVID-19 emergency:

First, and most important, I hope everyone is safe and healthy! Good news (We deserve some!) about Bridge. The clubs around Boston have joined together to have virtual clubs online at Bridge Base Online (BBO). To make the virtual experience more like the real one, registration for these games has been limited to people who had played at the club before the time of plague. MIT/DL is now a part of the Tuesday night game. The game is offered on BBO under the banner of OneWorld Boston.

It starts at 7:10 pm(EDT), and you can register up to 2 hours before. The cost is $6 of eMoney (BB$). You register with your partner (make sure he or she is online also!) and can use one of the standard convention cards provided by BBO, or create your own.

If you are unfamiliar with Bridge Base Online, there is a great tutorial online: BBO Guide for New Players.

Briefly, Go to BBO, create an account if you don't have one (free), logon and get some BB$. You'll find the game under Competitive-->ACBL Virtual Clubs-->Pending-->OneWorld Boston. Click on the game and register. Make sure your partner is online. Play starts promptly, so be ready!

I am not a pro at this, but I've learned some things over April:

IAP Bridge Class 2021

Due to the Covid 19 crisis, we are unable to run the IAP Bridge class for 2021. We will post information about 2022 as soon it becomes available. Send any questions to mthroop at mit dot edu.
