Directions from MIT main entrance (77 Massachusetts Avenue) to building 4:

Walk East (parallel to the river) down the main corridor. Along the main corridor the succession of building numbers (you can tell from the room numbers) is 7, 3, 10, 4, 8. When you see rooms numbered 4-xxx, you are in building 4. Once you get to building 4, take the first corridor to the right. Our rooms are on the left.

Directions to good parking for building 4:

From Central Square: take Main St toward Boston, where it forks left off Mass Av, at the firehouse. Proceed past the Stata Center, the strange Gehry-designed building on the right, on the far corner of Vassar Street (Vassar goes right and Fulkerson left). Turn right into the parking lot, and park as close to the far end as possible. Proceed on foot in the direction you were going when you entered the lot, and bear right. Enter the line of buildings at the glass entryway. (If after 6PM, the door may be locked - knock, and a passerby will let you in.) Turn right, and go to the end of the hall. If you are handicapped, take the elevator to floor 1R - otherwise, go up the half flight of stairs to the left. Proceed down a short hall, and turn right onto the "infinite corridor". Building 4 is down the first intersecting corridor to the left.

From Mass Av near Student Center: take Mass Av away from the river. Turn right on Vassar St, and proceed one long block. Turn right onto Main St at the Stata Center, right into the parking lot, and continue as above.

From Boston: come over the Longfellow bridge, and proceed on Broadway. Proceed several blocks, and turn left onto Fulkerson St. Proceed one block, where Fulkerson becomes Vassar, and the Stata Center is on the far left corner. Turn left onto Main St, right into the parking lot, and continue as above.
