From: Timothy N. Hill [mailto:thill75@wesleyan.edu] Sent: Friday, February 04, 2011 12:40 AM Subject: Web movements updated This latest version includes "bis" variants for even table counts with an even number of deal groups in play. These variants are useful for running multiple Web sections with fewer cases of boards and also for switching between odd and even table counts after you've started boarding. This package now includes 112 Web movements: - 10 to 39 tables with 9 deal groups in play (30 movements: WEB1009 through WEB3909) - 14 to 39 tables with 13 deal groups in play (26 movements: WEB1413 through WEB3913) - even table counts from 10 to 38 with 8 deal groups in play (15 movements: WEB1008 through WEB3808) - even table counts from 14 to 38 with 12 deal groups in play (13 movements: WEB1412 through WEB3812) - bis movements for even table counts from 10 to 38 with 8 deal groups in play (15 movements: WEB1008BIS through WEB3808BIS) - bis movements for even table counts from 14 to 38 with 12 deal groups in play (13 movements: WEB1412BIS through WEB3812BIS) It also includes: - 112 Web movements with a NS rover and an optional party table (WEB1008NSR through WEB3913NSR) - 112 Web movements with an EW rover and an optional party table (WEB1008EWR through WEB3913EWR) The .nb file is the Mathematica notebook that generated the .MOVement files, which will be useful to you only if you have a copy of Mathematica. The .pdf file is a printout of the notebook. You might want to print just the first seven pages, which describe the basic movements, and pp. 223-4, which describe the bis movements. The other 285 pages are for reference--they include all 336 movement schedules and the Mathematica code that generated them. The 336 .MOVement files should be stored in C:\ACBLSCOR\MOV. If you find any problems in the documentation or movement files, please let me know. Tim
