About the speakers
Jason Grumet
Jason Grumet is founder/President of the Bipartisan Policy Center
which is focused on energy, national security, health care, and
transportation policy; its staff is actively involved in the campaigns
of both parties. He currently serves as Chair of the Energy and
Environment Policy Group for the Obama Presidential Campaign. He also
directs the National Commission on Energy Policy, a bipartisan group
of the nation's leading energy experts. Prior to 2001, Jason worked
for NESCAUM, which represents the Northeast Governors on environmental
matters. He is a frequent witness at Congressional hearings and is
regularly featured in the national media.
R. James Woolsey
R. James Woolsey is Venture Partner and Senior Advisor with
VantagePoint Venture Partners. He is also a Senior Executive Advisor
at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he was previously a Vice President. He
has held four Presidential appointments, twice in Democratic
administrations and twice in Republican administrations. He served as
Director of Central Intelligence, Ambassador and Chief Negotiator for
the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe Treaty, Delegate at Large to
the Strategic Arms Reductions Talks and the Defense and Space Talks,
Under Secretary of the Navy, and General Counsel to the Senate Armed
Services Committee.
