Engage MIT on the world's future energy challenges

MITEI's Member Programs will provide a critical link in the energy innovation chain — the pairing of MIT's world-class research teams with the best in industry who will be responsible for moving many of the products of this collaboration into the energy marketplace. Most importantly, these programs will provide key focus, research opportunities and critical funding for the next generation of energy technologists.

MITEI Founding Member Program

A Founding Member's contribution will support sponsored research projects — "flagship" energy research projects of special interest to the Member — and will provide seed funding for early-stage innovative research projects across the campus. The contribution will also support ten Named Energy Fellows at MIT. Founding Members will have a permanent seat on the MITEI Executive Committee. Learn more >

Commitment level: $5 million per year for 5 years of high-impact energy research and education.

MITEI Sustaining Member Program

A Sustaining Member will support sponsored research projects — "flagship" energy research projects of special interest to the Member — and will provide seed funding for early-stage innovative research projects across the campus. The contribution will also support two Named Energy Fellows at MIT. Sustaining Members will have a rotating seat on the MITEI Executive Committee. Learn more >

Commitment level: $1 million per year for 5 years of high-impact energy research and education.

MITEI Associate Member Program

An Associate Member's contribution will support a Named Energy Research Fellow at MIT in addition to supporting a range of MIT energy research, education and campus activities selected by the Member from a menu of options. Associate Members will be members of the MITEI Energy Salon. Learn more >

Commitment level: $100,000 per year for 5 years of high-impact energy research, education and outreach.

MITEI Affiliate Member Program

A contribution from an MITEI Affiliate Member will advance the overall goals of the Initiative and will specifically support one of a number of student-oriented programs at the Member's discretion. Affiliate Members will be members of the MITEI Energy Salon. Learn more >
