Study Skills

Looking toward easing their transition to college, MITES holds a study skills workshop for the students entitled Working Smarter to Maximize Achievement (Part I Part II). The workshop emphasizes the value of applying "effective effort" with regard to their studies and stresses the practice of forming small collaborative study groups that stimulate academic discourse, even in social settings. Many of the students who apply these principles during the summer see significant improvements in their academic outcomes.
