MITES 1988 Tower Competition

Equipped with computer punch cards, staples, and tape, students must build a tower that will support the weight. How do you win? By building the tallest tower, for the lowest cost that accomplishes the task. Each card, staple, inch of tape, and fold in a card cost $1.00. Yes, that mean that if you used a circle your costs would be infinite because a circle has an infinite number of folds.
