Event at Dartmouth College

Dear Members of the Filipino-American Community,

Please accept this invitation to attend the Encuentro Filipino Conference to be
held April 29th-May 2nd at Dartmouth College. This three day,
multi-disciplinary symposium will be devoted to the exploration of the fine and
performing arts from the Philippines for the period before 1898.

Five Filipino Scholars will be presenting their research findings. We als will
have two concerts, one of Filipino, Romantic Piano Music, presented by Dartmouth
Pianist, Sally Pinkas. The second will be given by the Loboc Children's Choir,
from Loboc, Bohol.

All of the events are free and open to the public. The program can be viewed at

Tinikling Workshop this Friday, 2/29

Please come to our tinikling workshop this Friday, February 29 from 6-8 pm at Rehearsal Room B in the Kresge Auditorium. We will be covering both the basic and more advanced steps of the traditional Filipino dance, Tinikling. In addition to the traditional dance, we will also be covering modern Tinikling dance. The last part of the workshop will be dedicated to a competition to see who can come up with a better tinikling choreography. We hope to see you all there.
