GCF Fall 2002 Retreat at Toah Nipi
Our fall retreat this year was at the Intervarsity retreat
center in Toah Nipi, in New Hampshire. It was a great three
days of prayer, praise, relaxation, and general horsing
around. We all had great fun there and these pictures can only
begin to paint a picture of what happened there!

Upon arrival our creative talents were quickly called
upon. Megan & Debbie quickly setup to wow the world with
their artistic skills. |
Team 243 is quickly successful. |
|
|
Across the aisle, Team Eddie, assisted by Amy, is trying
hard to catch up to the creative duo of Megan & Debbie. |
Meanwhile, our august president, Greg, conspires with
Ji-Jon for a new method of expressing MIT in this
contest. But this will need a volunteer, and who better to
draft a "volunteer" than Wes.... |
|
|
A quick show of force "convinces" Ken to volunteer for
Greg's plan.... |
Pushing things to the last minute, the MIT personal
expression is proudly displayed! |
|
|
It's rained all weekend, so what better thing to do than
to have some deep, theological discussions. Heather,
Cynthia, and Steve, all being on our music team, ponder the
need for some music. |
Right on cue, Wes breaks out the six string while Steve
and Amy wish they could do the same.... |
|
|
The photo wars begin! |
Wes & Todd, our reluctant models. |
|
Ah, it's Sunday, and time to go home. And
suddenly, all the cameras come out! There are about 15
versions of this shot scattered about our group. Missing in
this shot, but who still attended the retreat, were Tolu,
Micah, JR, Rensing, and about 80 other people from Harvard,
UMass, Tufts, Brown, and UNH. |

|
No fall retreat would be complete without a round of
football! Wes demonstrates his sheer power in this punt |
Movin' out! |
|
|
A taste of Toah Nipi before we leave. It really is quite
beautiful, even in light rain.... |
Tranquility, something one doesn't find easily at MIT. |
|
|
If you look closely, you can see the rain coming in over
the lake towards us. |
Going home, caravan style, with a few mishaps in our
direction sense along the way. |
