GCF Winter 2001 Retreat at Andrew's Farm

We decided to do something a little different this year - we went to Andrews' Farm in Vermont (here's the application brochure), which was conveniently located near great skiing at Killington and Okemo! Since it was President's Day weekend, it was a great time to get away from MIT and Cambridge, listen to our speaker Nicole Leonard's challenging message, and just relax and enjoy each other's company.

The main cabin at Andrews' Farm. The whole group in front of the fireplace.
Todd and Emilie having a leisurely chat over dinner. Lori, Joe, Esther, and Ken agree there's always plenty of food at GCF retreats; not to dampen their spirits, but amateur GCF chefs (read: people other than Michelle) prepared much of the food on this retreat.
The group from a later picture doing something that defies categorization. The obligatory ski picture from the ski retreat. Daniel, victim of one of his many narcoleptic attacks, did get some skiing done that day.
Pradeep goes to great lengths to cover that bald spot, assisted by Gil and Jon. "Steady" Stead, "Excitable" Emilie, "Dynamic" Debbie, "Krazy" Ken, and "Kowabunga" Koji complete another physical challenge.
"I think I see a head!" Greg, Esther, and Esther help Tony go where no man has gone before; meanwhile, Ed and Steve can't bear to watch. Steve and Michelle with two young friends.

Steve, willing to do anything to avoid being another victim of Kevin Ford, the Assassin.
