Driving Directions to Toah Nipi
- From MIT going north on Massachusetts Avenue (Rt. 2A)
- Go north until you hit Harvard Square.
- Go up Massachusetts Avenue a bit more until you swing
around the Common, turning left on Waterhouse Street.
- Make a right onto Concord Avenue.
- Keep driving until you hit the Alewife Brook Parkway.
Turn right to go north.
- Keep driving until you get to the Concord Turnpike.
Turn left, and you're on Hwy 2 West.
- From MIT going west on Memorial Drive (Rt. 16-2-3)
- Go west until you hit a rotary (near Mt. Auburn
Hospital). Take the right (following the sign that says
"To Route 2W"). There is another rotary near Lowell Park,
and again follow the sign that says "To Route 2W". You
are now on Fresh Pond Parkway.
- Continue following the signs on Fresh Pond Parkway,
going past Alewife. Once you get past the Fresh Pond
Shopping Center, make sure you're in the left lane, and
you'll end up on Hwy 2 West
- Take the I-495 North exit (this is just a faster way of
getting to Hwy 119 West; you can go directly from Hwy 2 West
to Hwy 119 West if you prefer)
- After about two miles, take the Hwy 119 West exit.
- You'll be on Hwy 119 (going through towns such as Groton,
Townsend, and Ashby) until you cross the NH state line.
- Once you cross the NH state line, be on the lookout for
Old Ashburnham Road, about two miles along the way.
It's on your left, and across from a sign that says
"Cathedral of the Pines/East Rindge" but most likely
you'll miss it, because it's very well hidden.
- Go about one mile on Old Ashburnham Road until you see the
driveway for Toah Nipi on the right (#126) across from
a white farm house and a large red attached barn. Drive up
the driveway (bearing right up a steep incline) to the main
building. Parking is right next to the building.
- Total driving time: 90 minutes
- Total driving distance: 60 miles

About Toah Nipi
Toah Nipi is a beautiful retreat center that is used by
students, staff, and faculty affiliated with Intervarsity
Christian Fellowship, New England. The cabins are fully
furnished, and all meals are home-cooked by the retreat center
staff. There is also a lake for canoeing, and an outdoor sand
volleyball court on site.
