Assalamu'alaikum Brothers and Sisters,
It is once again that time of the month when Allah has given us an opportunity to recharge spirtually. Qiyam is the tool that Allah gave the Prophet early on in his mission to help ready him for all of the struggles and challenges that come with working in His cause. Similarly, it is an amazing opportunity for us to ready ourselves spiritually for success in this life and the next.
Brothers and sisters, I know that many of us can make time for this event if we wanted to. In addition to all of the spiritual benefits, this qiyam is an opportunity to meet and come close with our brothers and sisters across the Boston area. Instead of just wasting time Saturday night, we could all be together doing something very enjoyable and beneficial for us. PLEASE make a sincere intention to come to this qiyam and follow through on your intention. When you think about the different excuses not to come, also think about what you will be missing out by not coming:
- A chance to get closer to Allah and please Him.
- A chance to make dua to Allah at one of the most blessed times - the last third of the night.
- A chance to meet and socialize with your brothers and sisters across the Boston area in a meaningful and uplifting setting.
Please encourage others to join you at this event also. If you know people new to the Boston area, we especially encourage you to bring them with you so that they can experience the benefits of the Qiyam.
I ask Allah to make it easy for us to walk on the straight path and to bring us closer to Him and to one another through worship. Ameen.
