MIT

Welcome! MIT has a dynamic academic and research community that includes over 1400 postdoctoral scholars working in all five Schools and in the Vice President for Research area. Postdoctoral scholars hold doctoral degrees and pursue a program of research and training under the direction of an MIT faculty member. This website contains useful information for prospective, new, and continuing postdocs.

MIT is committed to creating a welcoming environment for its postdoctoral community, and one that provides good conditions for career advancement. The Office of the Vice President for Research works closely with the postdoc-led Postdoctoral Association to address policies and issues concerning professional development and the quality of life. The office and the Association sponsor events and provide resources, information, and professional development seminars.
