What drew you to work for the PSC?

I am passionate about education as a tool for change and the PSC’s mission, to empower students to create positive change in the world through service experiences, is inspiring. My most memorable experiences have been volunteering internationally and locally, and I was drawn to working at the PSC to help students have the same transformative experience and inspire them to get involved and make an impact.

What do you do for fun outside the office?

I love to read, see live music, listen to This American Life podcasts, run (marathons!) and drink coffee. I also love to travel and I have visited 28 countries and hope to keep on traveling and learning more about the world. I also consider myself a life-long student of languages and I am always looking for ways to practice my French and Spanish!

What's your role at the PSC?

As the IDEAS Competition Coordinator, I run the annual competition that provides an opportunity for members of the MIT community to develop creative ideas for projects that make a positive impact in the community – locally, nationally or internationally. The IDEAS Competition asks teams to use invention as public service and helps them develop their projects, from their initial idea to the final product!
