PSC Expedition Grants enable students to travel to developing regions to do community service projects that have a prospect of sustainable benefit for the community and continued interest from the student.

Undergraduate donations made these Expedition Grant projects possible in 2009:
Clarice Aiello, (G, Course 22)
Clarice received an Expedition Grant will be interning with the UNESCO Moscow Office (Science Desk) She will be working on increasing the educational value of the natural sciences curricula in this region and assembling for public primary and secondary schools, low-cost scientific kits.
Brooke Jarret, (‘10, Course 1)
Adam Talsma, (‘10, Course 1)
Brooke and Adam received Expedition Grants to travel to Tambo de Mora, Peru, a city reconstructing after a recent earthquake. They will host short workshops in different modes of communication and creativity from role playing, videography, and micro-journalism, in order to help the community articulate its stories to aid organizations. Brooke and Adam will also use the materials to produce a documentary.
Liz Theurer, (‘11, Course 2)
Liz received an Expedition Grant to work with RECYCLA, an e-waste recycling company in Santiago, Chile, to research the causes of the high costs of e-waste recycling. She will travel to a recycling site in Germany to look at factory layout and worker efficiency and then travel to Chile to optimize the workstations at RECYCLA to increase their daily through put.
Paul Welle, (‘11, Course 1)
Paul recieved an Expedition Grant to work in Haiti on a youth sustainable agriculture project through a three week long class and activity period followed by a period of external support. Specifically Paul was working with a technique called permaculture for sustainability by limiting waste produced.
