Energy Challenge

What will you do about the energy concerns of today’s world?
MIT President Susan Hockfield has said that “MIT will be the catalyst for transforming the energy landscape.”  With this in mind, the PSC encourages students to use their ingenuity and knowledge to address energy consumption issues and develop new energy strategies, technologies, programs or processes for the U.S. and the world.  There is funding available for student energy projects, so get creative!

Design new devices for U.S. homeowners that enable energy conservation, reimagine automotive technologies or publicity drives that reduce fuel consumption, create technical or behavioral modification solutions for people living in China or India, figure out policy-level solutions addressed to the DOE or other energy agencies, or develop promising new wind energy designs—anything, anywhere in the world that addresses energy consumption and production issues.

If you are interested in the Energy Challenge, contact psc@mit.edu and tell us about your project idea or any questions you might have.
