Congratulations to Number 6, 2012 Service Cup winners!
The Number 6 Club engaged in a mixture of philanthropic activities, such as raising money for Relay for Life, and hands-on community service activities, such as partnering with the Italian Home for Children to plan a literacy-themed Easter egg hunt. Their team efforts showcased high participation, many group activities, a high learning curve, thoughtful intentionality about their community organization partnerships and new service activities, adherence to a service theme of education, reflection components, and a resulting ramped-up service culture in their house. No. 6 raised the bar for themselves, giving a great glimpse into the service capabilities of the group for the future.
Congratulations to the brothers of PBE!
PBE earned $50 for the charity of their choice by winning the FSILG&D Community Service Challenge Photo Contest! The winning photo features the brothers after rallying together to help create the largest college team for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure: Boston. Their 70-member team, “MIT and Friends”, raised $2,791 – more money than any other local college-based team. View other entries.
