What drew you to work for the PSC?

I find MIT's commitment to the betterment of human kind inspiring, and I wanted to be a part of it. I was drawn to the PSC because I am passionate about service, community building, and meaningful relationships. I felt the PSC would allow me to build all three areas in conjunction with amazing students, faculty, and staff.

If you could travel anywhere in the world to take part in a service project, where would you want to go and why?

While I would love to do service in any location, if I had to choose, I think I would choose to serve in New Mexico. I grew up in Albuquerque, and my family still live there. Though I've participated in service in various countries and U.S. communities, I do not feel I've given as much in the community that raised me. I would love the opportunity to serve and learn in my home state.

What do you do for fun outside of the office?

I love being active outdoors either running or biking, but I also relish a great yoga class. I also enjoy reading and try to fit a little fiction (sometimes a lot) into my evenings. However, I have to say that my most enjoyable moments come from living in the Cambridge area and exploring -- I make a point of walking around new neighborhoods, trying different restaurants, and wandering into local businesses.
