About MIT Swara

MIT Swara is a student-run organization dedicated to bringing awareness of South Asian classical and modern music to MIT and surrounding communities. We aim to foster the appreciation of this rich art, promote the scholarship and learning of this music, and provide a channel to showcase the talent of young artists and rasikas (connoisseurs) on campus.

We organize a wide range of activities, including student performances and shows, musical jam sessions, listening and discussion sessions, and workshops and lecture demonstrations by master performers and scholars.
