Winter 1913 Press

[England]
I told you I had you all figured out.

[Germany]
Surrender to me and get it over with. Just because we're too lame to send
in orders doesn't mean I'm not going to win.

[Germany]
Italy, I built F Kie and A Mun. I'm not sure I see where Turkey is
disbanding, so my press is going to be sort of vague. We definitely
shouldn't surrender Ser. If it looks like you can hold it and move Tri,
I'll support Tri to Bud once. If the Turk disbands do not accomodate, then
I'll try something else and perhaps we can try again later. I'll keep the
pressure on in the East as much as I can. As you can see, it's unlikely
that I'll ever be getting any fleets to support you in the Med.

[Italy]
Turkey, as you probably figured by now, I can now defend Italy fairly effectively. I can see that Germany is at 14. I'm in a better position to try and do something about it (though it looks a bit late to get going). I can't start doing that unless you stop attacking me.

If I see press from you this build that shows any sign of seeing this logic, I will support Budapest to Vienna, and move Serbia to Budapest to get my armies in the right direction (your supporting me into Vienna would not succeed, unfortunately). I'll leave it up to you whether Serbia should remain mine or yours, though I am a bit closer to the upcoming fight. I would like to pull my units back to defend Marseilles, and we should see if we can get your fleets to turn the corner down bottom.

I close by saying that even if you could eat all my centers before Germany wins, you can't win. I hope you see things the same way.

[Russia]
Just out of morbid curiosity, can anyone describe a plausible scenario
for the resolution of this game that doesn't include Germany winning?
I'm looking at the numbers 6, 6, 8, 14. I think that means that if you
think you still have a chance of winning (which I think you should
believe), the only practical paths to that conclusion would start with
Italy, Turkey, and Russia suddenly ganging up on Germany pretty much
right now.

[Russia]
Ok, you have War. You promised not to take Nor or Swe, so don't. I'll
fight Turkey as long as you let me. Otherwise, I'll have to switch sides
again. Support me into Ukr and then I can take Sev back.

[Turkey]
Russia, we should be friends. But, I really can't let you keep Rum. It's
busting my groove.

[Turkey]
Ok, enough is enough. Stop what you're doing and look at the map. There
are strategic implications to your lunacy.
