In which our heroes get tragically duped by a necromancer...

Orhan 4 Day 40

We fuss about where to go next. Imre destroys the herbs. (Evil paladin suggestion scared the evil mage.) We spend two days checking our destiny. We sell the silver circlet and the platinum figure for 68 gold (Norek) each.

We decide to stay and dev!!! We are level 4!

The metal is Ruleran. It's a mentalism inhibitor. Helms would give heinous resistance to mentalism or be great for capturing mentalist.

Orhan 5 Day 15

Imre and Oathar are approached by Juzlin, the librarian. She noticed that we're adventurers. She's been watching us. She teaches young kids. Her grandfather had a manor (big farmhouse). It was burned in a lugraki attack. He was killed in the attack. All his stuff was lost. She went back to find his stuff to find if there were things of his left. But there were noises and stuff at the farmhouse and she got scared. He had some books and money. She'd give us half of his money. We could even copy some of the books if we paid for a scribe. It's just outside the city walls. This was fifteen years ago. She looked about 23 years old, appearance 80.

We gather the party and go to her school to talk to her. Jack mortally offends her by casting a mentalism spell on her. D. plays with the children. Imre calms her down and then we get to go off to her farmhouse.

We find the burned out remains of the place. Haeraan detects at least five animated corpses down below. D. goes to scout.

We head down. We find a secret door with a room with gold bars. Juzlin asks us if it's safe. Checking for traps, we declare it safe. She reaches for a gold bar and sets off an Utterdark, then vanishes. We follow her through another secret door and find a tapestry depicting the pits of hell complete with tormented victims. The best part is that you can put your hand through the tapestry in the area of the pit.

On the other side there's a strange dark misty arch. We choose the arch!! We pop out of thin air into the middle of a room. We explore through the telporting arches of random flopping around. We find an evil temple. We find a room with three doors and three zombies. We kill the zombies.

We find a store room. We find a secret door. We find five jail cells. A minataur (channeling), a wrecked room, small bowl face down in corner, mice, empty, but larger. We find a minor wight. (Type V undead.) We find a maze. Haeraan sets off a trap. Ouch. Imre heals him. We wander the maze. We find some wights and flee back to the arch. We find some notes about undead. "Oathar would make a good undead spell caster." "Prophesy of great hero and limitless treasure. The time of the hero draws near."

We find some ghost wolves. Oathar blasts Vallandra. Ouch. We kill the wolves.
