In which our heroes ...
Orhan 5 Day 37 TE 6060
It's about eight days of sailing. The captain seems disturbed by icebergs
the whole time. But with the blessings of Neela, we make 10 knots the
whole way, and then long door to shore. We camp for a day on the shore
to establish a teleport basecamp. The next morning, we start slogging
inland through the desert.
Our guide Darren starts leading us inland.
Alynna has some small heat exhasution problems, and we press on. Then
we find an oasis. Alynna and Imre splash in an oasis that we find. Near
the bottom, Imre discovers something hard. It turns out to be a small
brass lamp. It's got lot's of all three realms on it and seems to have
an ancient curse bestowed upon it by the gods.
Imre of course, rubs the lamp and a genii shows up. He offers Imre three
wishes. Imre says he has no wishes yet, but introduces himself, and
the genii confides that his name is Akbar.
There are three rules:
- I can't kill anyone.
- I can't bring people back from the dead.
- I can't make people fall in love.
Those are the rules. There's also some things he can't actually create
but he can borrow them. So if you ask for the greatest magical sword in
the world, he'll go get it for you. That may not work out so well. Eternal
life can be unaging. The lamp itself is also fairly slippery. It tends
to wander. We ponder at great length.
The genii makes camp (for free). Haeraan has a dream. There are three
treasure chests on the road. He walks up to the first on and inside is
some gold. The second chest seems to be trapped. The third treasure chest
seems to be trapped and poisoned and surrounded by lugraki and wyverns
and stuff.
