Orhan 2 Day 57 TE 6061

Oathar casts slumber mist. The hypnotoads all fall asleep. We throw the one's above deck into the ocean. Alynna and Kyrik go below deck and start carefully lifting toads to carry them above deck. 14 Concentration IV spells and a bunch of short doors later.... 14 toads down!

But the last hypnotoad wakes up! Oathar dives in to defend hypnotoad. Alynna jabs at it! Kyrik swings at it! Imre casts on it! But it survives! Oathar teleports with hypnotoad up to the deck and heals him. But Haeraan is up there and attacks! Haeraan obliterates them both. Poor hypnotoad. Poor Oathar. They both die.

Imre shows up on the scene and staples Oathar's soul! Skull repair true, major eye repair, nasal repair, another major eye repair some hit point healing.

Meanwhile, the crew is wondering why Haeraan killed their captain. But by this time, Imre has him fixed up. At least, fixed up enough that he's alive and conscious though his face and eyes are covered with bandages.

Orhan 2 Day 58 TE 6061

There's some rough sailing while Oathar is recovering. (The first officer is a bit intimidated by the rest of the party. "First they killed the captain, now they're watching me.") More way-grog!

We return to Sel-Kai! Yarrrrr!

In the news:

• House Mealorious is becoming a recognized trade house. We now have a loar house barge. For use in all of the festivals and things. Skiffs wander around back and forth between the barges and young men prove themselves by jumping from barge to barge.
• Haeraan hears a report that one of the necromancer dude ranches has gained in power and is starting to cause trouble. It's close to Ardenia, so the church can't send an army.
• Nusmoi drags in Simon and tells Imre, "He's your child! You deal with him." and leaves. Simon is of course innocent in all things, so Imre can't figure out the problem. Apparently, Simon heard that only the good die young. (So he started to form a suicide cult.)
• The temple of Valris gives Kyrik a map of the Terranian Sub-shuttle System. Kyrik brief him on what he's been up to.
• In the mail is a big formal envelope for Alynna. A letter from the Emporer of Rakhan: 1) a request for information about a rebel elven leader of the lugraki in Zor, 2) a handwritten invitation to visit any time (via the postern gate), and 3) a handwritten message that Alynna is probably too busy to visit.
• We hear that Kier is holding off Lorgalis pretty well, though the rumor is that Lorgalis is still working on subverting the crowns.

Orhan 3 Day 34 TE 6061

Preparing for Kieronalia...

We get formal invitation to the temple of Kieron for Kieronalia. The palace as well. Also invitations to various other family balls. Invitations to The Black Velvet (high class brothel) and the Red Door (specialized brothel).

Arisia has our barge joining the barge flotilla. Moderation and Temperance seem to be the House Mealorious motto this year.

We send an invitation to Divad Tamminger (Cold Barley Soup Kitchen) guy.

Haeraan spends a couple hundred gold on a nice festival for Vallandrastadt (Santa Vallandra).

Orhan 3 Day 35 TE 6061

Kieronalia!! Dancing in the streets.

We attend a couple of parties up in Eidolon. Not quite as formal as usual, but still pretty high class. Arisia's mother retires to the country for the week.

Arisia's brothers show up at the upper parties and then dive down into it.

There's the barge flotilla. Oathar's barge is fairly tame...

Our barge seems to be the place where the elves hang out.

The minister of state visits the barge and chats amiably.

Kyrik is invited to house Tharal's barge where there's a half-laan/half-loar, who is Agonar of Teusilya, reputed to be a member of the grey ring. He introduces himself to Kyrik. Having him introduce himself is apparently quite rare. He's a powerful warrior mage.

Then Kyrik goes off to debauch at some den of debauchery.

Alynna hangs out at the temple of Kieron for a while.

Byron visits and we all order bicycles (Bicycle Riding is Athletic, Endurace with Ag). Voorig Kye's ambassador shows up too and extends an invitation.

Off to the Temple of Neela.

After water day, we head to Karilon and get a fate point and a level. Yay!

We return to Karilon. It's time for us to start our mini-missions!

• Go to Nuyom Kom and check on the status of the war. (Haeraan)
• Go to Pokantos and contact/assist the resistance. (Kyrik)
• Go to Lankonok, infitrate, and investigate. (Oathar)
• Go to Ardania and report in its doings. (Imre) 1st
• Survey the politics around the Bay of Izar. (Sarnac, Stroane, etc.) (Alynna)
