In which our heroes ...
Orhan 5 Day 8 TE 6061
Imre examines the list of drugs and finds that it was written by Travis
Gugulon. Darn those Gugulons.
We discuss options before heading to the drug deal. Hmm, there seem to
be a lot of options. We ponder.
While we are pondering a very expensive envelope with a royal seal arrives
for Imre.
To Master Imre,
It pleases us to
invite you to a royal reception at the palace later this week. We are
glad to have your illustrious presence in the city. Please let us know
if there is anything you need.
-Master of Ceremonies
The party seems to be in three days.
Meanwhile, more pondering. The concensus seems to be that we need a guard
to back us up when we take people down.
Shar gets disguised up and head out to find a guard. Sadly, there seem
to be no female guard in the city so he deals with a male guard, which
doesn't really work out so well for him.
Finally, he puts some extra effort in and manages to work out an arrangement
with a guard named Trey, while claiming to be an elf named Seraph.
Armed with our own guard we show up at the drug meet. Shar talks to the
dealers and finds out that the drugs are acutally coming in from Lankonok.
They are selling drugs to finance their war effort. Imre realizes that
this is important information. Once we have it, we attack. Shar takes
down two goons, Mark takes down a goon, and we call for our guard support.
A few wounds are accepted from the bad guys, but we secure the dock.
Then the boat starts sailing away. So Imre longdoors aboard and slays
the entire crew with a glance! Then we meet up with Trey the
guard and he wonders how exactly Imre killed everyone. That's a bit too
suspicious. Imre convinces him that it was a giant suicide pact.
Meanwhile, the wondertwins are looting the ship for a thousand gold.
Trey summons more guards and we leave him to get the local glory, meeting
back at the Inn.
Orhan 5 Day 9 TE 6061
Imre and Mark head off for Imre's secret meeting with the old woman.
They are followed by someone who "hates traitors to Ardania"
and so abort the trip and head back casually. Imre responds to the invitation
at the castle and says that he'll be going to the party.
Imre insures that everyone is well attired before the ball arrives. Especially
the giant. They arrange for a fitting the morning of the day of the party
at the palace.
Shar heads out to work on Darla some more. Mark goes out to party. Imre
finally heads to his secret meeting taking precautons against being followed.
Imre gets his report:
- Ardania has a far larger army than it knows what to do with. They're
preparing for something.
- They're running a massive deficit to fund the army.
- There's red gold coming in from somewhere. Very strange.
- Imre's agent has a friend who's a bureaucrat. But now he's in prison.
Bummer. He'd like Imre to break him out.
- The Emporer doesn't seem to do much. Maybe he's a figurehead.
- Several remanants of the orders of the old empire seem to be coming
back. (Sword, Zanar (Cloak), Eye, Flame)
- No ambassadors from other countries in residence.
Imre tells his agent to be careful and moves on.
