Session 151

In which our heroes ...

Orhan 4 Day 67 TE 6061

After four days travel, we arrive near the coast off Pocantos. We find a landing zone, but there seems to be some commotion further inland. Examination reveals a village is being slaughtered, and an altar is being built. We charge in!

Newmoon and Elk show up at the beach and prepare to deal with the Lankani. Newmoon climbs a tree to see what's going on. Followed by Gilly. A refugee rushes towards Elk, pursued by a Lankani. She accidentally crashes into Elk.

Confusing melee ensues. People fight their way towards the villiage. Sand, already at the village assalts the priest and then spends the rest of the time defending himself from volleys of arrows. He doesn't do it so well, so plummets out of the sky landing on the evil altar. Newmoon and Elk do a lot of goring of bad guys.

Luckily, the priest is killed, and the rest of the soldiers find themselves overmatched, so they flee. Kyrik wakes Sand, who starts with the healing.

After the battle, Elk starts his strange and terrible rituals of burying the dead. Sand comes buy and does his rituals of the dead. All hope that something good has been done. Sand also has people help him drag the altar to the sea. Meanwhile, Newmoon and Kyrik talk to the villiagers and discuss moving the villiage and ask for news of the location of the general and price in exile. They decide to sleep on it and talk again in the morning.

We get the villiagers to set up watches.

That night, during the midnight watch, one of the village boys comes to apprentice himself to Elk, master of slaying his enemies and then skinning them. After some negotiation, Elk decides to accept him as him apprentice, useless though he is.

Orhan 4 Day 68 TE 6061

The villiage elders arrive and complain about Elk bewitching and stealing a child. Kyrik backs Elk up, so they don't do anything weird, but the elders are grumpy enough that they don't wish to discuss the rebels with us. We leave with Elk's apprentice and depart. The villiagers don't seem eager to move.

Luckily the apprentice know what's up. He tells is the the rebels have a base far off in the villiage of Yavin. En route we should pass through the small city of Alderaan where we can clearly get supplies and support...

Orhan 4 Day 70 TE 6061

As we approach Alderaan, newmoon who is scouting, discovers massive numbers of tracks leading towards the city and off in the direction of the city, we see smoke. Oh dear.

We approach cautiously to discover the entire city in ruins. It's been surrounded, slaughtered, and burned and is now just a smoking husk. We find some massive siege engine tracks.

In the floor under some wreckage, Elk finds a trap door. After opening the door, three people emerge. They look around and are devastated by the devastation. An old man, a woman, and a child. They're OK. The old man is Keeper Eric, the archivist. His niece and daughter accompany him. They hid under the library during the attack.

He describes the attack. The Lankani showed up with a giant siege engine thing, sort of like a sphere on stilts. They wheeled it up to the city gates and a giant beam of light came from it to destroy the gates, allowing the Lankani to flood into the city. A giant dark metal sphere about 100 feet across.

We contnue south giving the refugees what food we can spare and sending them back torwards the village.

As we head south we encounter a group of 10 - 15 mounted Lankani. We are spotted. They attack. Oh dear.

Things are looking quite bad, until five mysterious guys decloak and kill five guys on horses. Very mysterious. Newmoon and Elk take this opportunity to shoot down a couple more, and the rest flee.

The five Pocantos warriors discuss with Kyrik our intentions.

After several mind typings, they decide that we are goofs not to be feared. Kyrik is given respect, but he's met the prince before. So they take us to the camp.
