Orhan 5 Day 19 TE 6061
Tess cries. She's been kicked out of the church.
Seeing the chaos, Alynna summons the God Construct as a cleric of Eissa.
The GC resurrects Gyris, de-excommunicates Tess.
Tess and Alynna argue about whether or not the god construct should resurrect
Stampy.
Alynna decides to put the god construct on resurrecting Stampy (which
involves putting his heart back in). It will take about 10 hours. Tess
heads down to the bar to firtify herself fo rthe upcomming combat. Alynna
heads to the bar too to talk to the bartender about stuff in the city.
He's pretty bitter about the women taking over. Darn them. "If only
Ambrose were here, he'd take care of things."
Tess goes to bed after a few drinks. The bartender follows her up to
her room and won't take Tess's brush off easily. One Glare of Unnerving
later, he leaves.
At the resurrection, Eissa shows up to ask why Alynna wants him back.
Alynna claims he was an innocent caught in an evil lugraki curse. Eissa
agrees. She walks over and "checks to see if it is his time".
She downloads his soul into her and considers. It is not yet his time.
Eissa says: "Attend me!"
Tess rushes over. Eissa scans tess. "I see. I may have to ask him
to look into this."
A gate opens. Gyris thinks it's a demon summoning portal. We see the
tall blond humanoid with pale blond hair come out of the portal. He's
about 20 dressed in a white tunic with a silver buckle and boots. He has
a staff o fwhite wood with a golden crystal head. He carries the Keys.
Alynna and Tess recognize him as Jonna the warder, a son of Eissa.
Eissa tells him to return this one. He takes a Key ot the middle of the
room and a black gate of blackness appears. He reaches out and a little
image of Stampy appears at the gate and come out to his hand and then
into the head of his staff. The closes the gate, walks over to the body
and touches the body with the staff. Stampy takes a breath and is alive.
"Very well, it is done!" Tess waves at Eissa as she leaves.
Stampy finds out about the cursed staff. He was heading hom through the
swamp and doesn't remember anything else.
Orhan 5 Day 20 TE 6061
Alynna leaves a few gold on the nightstand for the maid who has to clean
up after the surgery/resurrection.
We take Stampy to Stampy's house. Stampy is happy to see Stampy. Stampy
gives us a reward for saving Stampy! He gives us 50 gold pieces!
Woo!
But then Alynna thinks about turning it down. Jonquil leaps into the
breech and accepts the gold on the party's behalf.
We warn them to stay away from the swamp as the lugraki are still out
there!
Alynna decides we should go talk to the new Sarnaki governor whose hanging
out in the old duke's palace. Alynna says she needs to talk to the governor
urgently, but the guards try to brush her off. Jonquil makes a bribery
roll to tell Alynna what a meeting will cost. She slips him the required
2 gold, and we a let in.
We stand in line for a while. Alynna and Gyris start getting bored. Jonquil
leaps in to get us cutsies. Gyris produces appropriate credentials for
us and we are ushered right in.
More credentials are presented to the people inside. We start telling
the govenor about the Chosen One and the lugraki. A servant comes back
holding two halves of an identical looking staff. Sigh. That one was made
in Zor by an elf in the last year. The party is confused, except for Alynna
who totally knows what's going on. So far, it's only these two, but there
are probably more. Sigh. Their staff was found in the mountains of gold,
while ours was found in the swamp.
Lugraki are only dangerous when they are organized. Which is to say,
now. Sigh.
Well, with this city warned, it's time to head to Sarnak. Back to the
boat.

We sail to Sarnak!

The captain decides that the crew will stay on the boat. Alynna assigns
Tess, and Jonquil to wander around with her, while Gyris wanders aroung
by himself looking for information.
It's a bright clean city with many shirtless men wandering about.
We go to the directorate building and are told to stand in line to make
an appointment. Sigh. There's a big line.
Jonquil is instructed to bribe all she wants. After a few gold, we get
an appointment for tomorrow.
Jonquil is given the rest of the day off for a working holiday.
Gyris hangs out in bars disgusied as a woman, and hears that the locals
think they can smite down Selkai merchant princes who think they can make
their own fleets. But mostly, these are merchants and don't have a lot
of complaints.
Then Jonquil is sent off to do her thing and try to find out what she
can.
Magellan and Tess are deployed in their usual way, except this time with
gender roles reversed. Jonquil sets up Magellan with a saucey little tunic.
They head to a somewhat seedy bar. Poor Magellan is ignored at the bar
for a while until a bug burly woman comes up and starts talking to him.
He gets invited to a party, she starts dragging him out back. Tess comes
to save him, but it turns out the woman who started talking to him was
a cutthroat, and is planning to bonk Magellan and sell him on the black
market.
Tess and Magellan leaves, but Belinda the cuthroat decides to walk them
back to the boat. Right before the ambush, Magellan grabs Tess and starts
running for it. Tess gets the impression that we're about to be ambushed.
(Probably from that death monk in the fog.) Belinda doesn't catch us.
Yay!
Sadly, we try it again. We go to a higher class bar, and Tess tries to
get information on what's up in town, but accidentally joins the thieves
guild. They're into smuggling and black market. Black leather is coming
through more recently. Tess should talk to Tunk's leather shop to get
in on the black leather trade. I probably don't want to be in the city
guard as that's not really a growth industry for the forseeable future.
Gyris heads to the center of the city and looks for a gay bar. He finds
one and then walks in and gets a -70 on his contacting. He strikes up
a conversation with a woman who looks like she's interested. He tosses
in his seduction roll, and ends up surrounded by six women with pointy
swords at his throat. She tells him that Sarnaki intelligence wiches to
have a conversation with him (her). He manages to conceal a dagger and
gold from them, though they take his lock picks.
He tries the "I work for you con". They take him back to the
guard station. The guard captain casts some detects and finds his dagger
but not her personal illusion. She gets locked up for later interrogation.
Meanwhile Jonquil goes to a high class establishment, looks around for
some civil servant types, buys them drinks, and asks for their advice
when dealing with the directorate. The directorate is convinced of the
superiority of women, men are cattle, and don't suffer fools or liars.
She also makes 6 silver at her barding. So, basically, we should play
it straight up. By the way, The Sarnaki are atheists.
In jail, Gyris tries to dominate his guard, but she resists and sounds
the alarm. Panicing, Gyris casts Demonic Possession I on the guard. This
time the guard fails and is possessed. His fellow guards subdue him while
Gyris casts unlock on his cell. He hides in his cell. They fill the cell
block with a Stun Cloud I. Oh dear. Round 1, his coins melt and he must
parry. Round 2, he takes two rounds stun, and hides again. In round 3,
jolt blind foe for two days and knocks him to the ground. They cart him
off to the hospital under guard and stick a big metal helmet on his head.

When the sun comes up, we notice that Gyris didn't return that night.
But he can handle himself, so we have breakfast.
Later Tess, goes and looks around on the black market for a half-elf.
Her theives guild contacts put her in touch with the right people, but
they don't have Gyris on the market.
Tess and Magellan head around checking the hospitals while the boss goes
to meet with the directorate. Jonquil checks the jails.
