In which our heroes ...
Orhan 1 Day 10 TE 6063
We prepare to head out to deal with that dragon we hear is guarding our
stuff.
Imre and Oathar go shopping and buy piles of fire protect potions and
the like.
Haeraan tries to gather intel on the dragon and gets a little information.
It's a greedy dragon that seems to like herd animals, so it's pretty lazy.
Many parties have tried. "they tried and failed?" "No,
they tried and died." He also uncovers the remains of some adventurers
journals that were forwarded to the library. Essentially, their owners
burned to death. Oh woe.
Imre and Oathar head to Kaitaine to get some Ice Strike spells from a
temple of Eissa. While there, Oathar notices that Neela's temple has suffered
a serious failure of faith as several people have gotten blessings from
Neela and then were killed by sea monsters. Oathar arranges a festival,
and has Alynna give a great public speech to restore the faith for the
faithful.
Orhan 1 Day 12 TE 6063
We head to Tovor and put our ear to the ground waiting for a dragon attack
so we know the dragon is somewhat sated. While there, we hear about the
reward of 1500 gold for the head of this dragon.
We talk to some townsfolk in the bar that night. They are very cconcerned
about the dragon.
There are temples to Eissa and Allura in town.
Orhan 1 Day 13 TE 6063
We head down to Jimbo's place. He's got a huge flock of fat complacent
sheep. We buy it for 50 gold and start driving it towards the dragon's
cave. We drive the sheep towards the foothills. We sleep for the night.
Orhan 1 Day 14 TE 6063
We get the sheep most of the way to the dragon lands when he shows up
and starts eating sheep. We spend the rest of the time merged into the
earth watching him play with his food and chomp it all down. After he's
sated, we pop up. Oathar watches and he lands about 15 miles away.
We wait until evening and head to the cave entrance. Oathar scouts ahead
with Long Eye I. There's a path filled with fire. Behind it, a cave filled
with gold and treasure and stuff. Oh, and a dragon.
Imre reconsiders the plan and decides that actaully, if the dragon is
playing wiht his gold now, he's only really going to sleep an hour a day
or so. Hmm... Well, given that we can't wait for him to fall asleep, we
buff up and then teleport in and get him.
We show up and get in the first strike salvo, complete with elemental
slaying strikes. Then he gets pissed. He casts Dispel True and takes down
80 percent of our massive buffing. He seems to be a 30th level dragon.
Lot's of 30th level spells.
