We go to Karilon to watch Alynna's Loremaster test.

When asked for a Loremaster Lore roll, she gets 134. She is then tested in three different skills: She sings a Loremaster song, She performs a very difficult Kata, she discusses the religions of Orhan. All are impressed.

Then they bring out a trio of arcane items. A bell, a book, and a candle.

She gets a power of the bell. She gets a power of the book. She puts passage origin on the book. The book was written over 100,000 years ago. It says "Know Thyself". The candle snuffs itself out as she approaches it. It is the last of a triad. It's got an obscure religious reference from some obscure religion.

Then for her unique test, she plays the flute of Andraax. From the far back of the crowd is a brief flash as a figure stands up and then leaves.

Alynna is awarded the title of Junior Loremaster.

Oathar goes on a lightning stike to buy out the Silversmiths in town and take over the Silversmith's guild.

Word comes down from the mine: There are now periodic labor negotiations. The merlogi won a bunch of new rights.

Our spies from Ulor report that Lorgalis has had a lit of unusual visitors lately. Odd priests no one has ever seen before, strange black cloaked figures, etc.

Our Ardanian spies report that representatives from Lankanok have shown up and peace negotitaions have commenced. We discuss the matter with Gireg Jan. He's got a contact there or two who could be prevailed upon for a favor or two. Lankonok's priests are ordered to search the world and find the Heart of Aggoth so that they might prevail in the future. Whoever shows up with the Heart will be able to lead the armies of Lankonok.

There's a giant spring party up at the palace. We all head up there.

Lord Barrin is there. Haeraan gets stalked by many of the eligible women of the court. Lasella Maari-Tasaka seems to take a proprietary interest in him. A cute blond comes by and starts disparaging Lasella. (They get into a sniping fight.) Aridia identifies the blond as Andara Latharin, is a member of the Loari consolate. Lasella rushes off in a rage. Having vanquised her opposition, she comes up and asks if she gets to claim her prize. They spar, and then separate for a time, and mingle.
