Orhan 3 Day 61 TE 6064
Oathar goes to check on Kelfour's Landing. He finds a challenge has been
made. All those skilled in the art of the two-handed sword go to Tiron's
Arms. A great two handed sword is in the offering. There's a big stand
out front with a large two-handed sword of shiny steel with an ivory pommel.
Out front is a brawny guy name Girdar the Duelist. He will give ethe sword
to whomever bests him. +15 two-handed sword. 100 gp to enter.
Alynna and Oathar go ask Magellan how he is with two-handed swords. Sadly,
it turns out Magellan only has one hand. Sigh.
Magellan briefs Oathar on the current labor situation. Oathar promises
that we'll be back for the next labor negotiations, since at the last one
the lugraki summoned a spirit of terror as their advocate. That's going
to be a problem come the next negotiations.
Oathar watches one fight at Tiron's. Teh duelist wins handily. He seems
to have 12/12 ranks.
Alynna investigates her orer some more. Each herald carried a staff as
a symbol of the order. They also had enchanted bridles for horses. Some
had an inset for a lens. Plus magical boots similar to Alynna's. The key
to the order was the amulet of the four winds, an artifact that allowed
coordination among the members. The amulet seems familiar to Alynna. She
casts total recall and finds that the Storm Wizard is wearing it.
Alynna puts together a nice stable down in Santa Vallandra to get ready
for her order's return.
Kyrik does his usual tour of our cities looking for members of his order.
He rolls an 11. A scraggly guy comes up to him and says, "Hey, are you
Kyrik? Come we must talk." There are three guys back there. They ask him
to help them against the Directorate in Sarnak. They are the rebellion!
Kyrik: "You have a worthy cause; tell me more." They're organized, but
have no magic. They need Kyrik's help to attack the directorate and assassinate
teh top-most dozen leaders. If he or his friends can help the rebellion
gain access to the citadel, they can surprise them, assassinate people,
and take swift control of the city.
Kyrik and Alynna spend an hour or so discussing the socio-political state
of Sarnak. They are on different pages.
Kyrik goes to Imre and convinces him that sending Tess and the Entropy
Twins in seems like a plan.
Oathar goes to the Shadow Tower to confront his order. There are five
people sitting around the table. Oathar recognizes the half elf Agonar.
A black Loar Cestus, and brown/green Erlin Kenar, a human mage, and one
other Tantali. Agonar introduces everyone. They accept Oathar into the
Grey Ring. They introduce him to the Source of Justice, including all the
legal knowledge that a judge would have and acts as a legal reference and
consultation source for all legal matters.
The Paladin Dana and Elor OnceDark are other members. The Source of Justice
attunes to Oathar and can now summon him at need. The source has a green
laen lens in its hilt. (Green is the color of the lens in Oathar's telescope.)
Alynna buys the ultimate bicycle from Byron. Complete with gears and a
shifter. Alynna gets in tight with the bicycle club and works on making
the big bicycle race. She and Oathar go to the mayor and he agrees provided
they can get the chief warden fired, so Oathar goes to Coran Maas and finds
out that the supposedly corrupt warden serves a useful purpose.
Imre remembers that Simon is going to get possessed on is 18th birthday
in less than a year, so starts investigating cures. Seem slik ea big ritual
and battling a demon on his birthday is the way to go.
They decide to bring Tess in on the ritual after she gets back from her
trip to Sarnak with the entropy twins.
Imre goes on a big father and son bonding day with Simon. Simon is thrilled.
He spends the afternoon briefing Simon and his friends on how to be a good
adventurer.
