Session 327

In which our heroes ...

Orhan 3 Day 63 TE 6065

Well, another exciting day in the simulators goes by.

Tethior then forcibly decants us from the tubes.

Then we are taken downstairs through the giant metal doors labels "Restricted" and into the giant toroidal chamber. Then a platform descends from the center which has a giant 10-foot diameter sphere. Yup, that's the Ilarsiri Command Stone.

There is something important we will need in the future and Andraax has said we must look for it. He takes no responsibility if we come out drooling idiots.

We must concentrate on the thing we will need.

We concentrate and see in the mists, (in HD 3D), lying on the ground, a golden chain with a number of holy symbols attached on the side of the chain, one of each of the Orhanian Gods. It's lying on bare rock. As we rotate around, we see that the loop is fairly small, perhaps hoola-hoop sized. It's definitely the thing we need. As we zoom out, we see that it's inside a cave, with lot's of crystals on the surface. They're scattered around on the floor as well.

Then the image zoom out. Leaving the cave we see some trogli standing around outside. There's a giant cavern with water underneath and a rock span above. On top are giant grasshoper-like creatures with lightning guns fighting lugraki. One of the bugs blasts lightning at the lugraki who falls into the chasm.

As we zoom out further we see some demons off on the side corner skulking about underground. Further back and up, it pops above ground somehow. We zoom out some more and find it's Southern Emer. The stone bridge we saw was probably the Grotto Path. A tunnel connecting the bay of Uj and Relian Bay.

Oathar thinks the gold chain has something to do with the "boundary of the gods" or something like that. We should go research that.

Then the sphere starts glowing again. Tehtior is surprised since we got what we needed. Then we are sucked back into the vision and we are sucked north to Votania and then down into Votania. Then it comes to an abrupt stop and our vision is filled with red. Looking around the world looks like red fractured crystal planes. Then it moves out into another room where there are crystaline pillars. Inside one of them is a casket pulsing. Yup, that's the Ark of the Worlds. As we get closer it starts pulsing faster. Then a door opens behind us. A figure looks at us and cries alound in shock. Tethior turns our Ilarsiri off.

Haeraan doesn't recognize the evil guy, but his eyes freak him out. As if he's seen them elsewhere. Oathar thinks it's probably Shreck.

Then Tethior gives us our lootz. We each get a laen weapon of our choice, plus there's a laen shield. And secret laen decoder rings. Laen is +25 normally, we can get them enchanted.

Tethior voluteers to keep the prison safe for us until we are ready to attack Nynaku. We get him to give us a wand that will summon the sphere/jail - one shot.

"Off you go now!"

Tethior gives us instructions. 1) Warning, sphere is not a toy. 2) Warning, once sealed sphere will not reopen, 3) Warning, do not seal self inside sphere with dark god, 4) Warning, contents under pressure, etc.

Then he sends us away.

We leave. Back to the villa.

Our spouses fill us in on their plot. Whoa alternate universes.

Nusmoi and Haeraan vision behind to figure out who blasted the women with the dimension shifting wand. Sounds like priests of lots of dark gods got together to mess with us. The actual guy using the wand was a half-lugraki.

We search around a bit trying to figure out what the heck that was about.

Oathar goes to talk to Agonar of Teusilya at house Tharon, and puts out some feelers to the Grey Ring to see if anyone around has heard more about this half-lugraki nonsense.

That night Alynna prays, and gets a busy signal.

Haeraan goes dream crazy:

  1. Who is the half lugraki and where did he come from? He's walking down a deserted alley. The smell of the ocean or the canal is nearby. A cloaked figure blocks the end of the alleyway. He says, "Yeah. I'm working on it. Stop bothering me." Haeraan says, "Well, that wasn't what I came here for?" "What?" The figure turns in shock, as the p-o-v figure raises his hand, and the guy falls over. He reaches down to the face of the fallen guy and says "Unfortunate."
  2. Who is that group that asigned him to do it? There's a general melee on a battlefield. A figure falls, and drops a mask off to the side which rolls around and then falls over. It's while with two small eyeslits and a little mouth.
  3. What was the intended outcome? He sees a cemetery. There's a grand procession and a chior, which goes to a gravesite with a memorial stone and no coffin. Oathar stands there going, "Nooooooooooo!"

Orhan 3 Day 64 TE 6065

Kyrik identifies the white mask from the dream as the symbol of Ulor.

A news crier comes down our street and says, "More bodies found in canal." Apparently, they found two bodies in the canal last night. Imre heads to the dump to see what up with faceless bodies there. He finds a couple of bodies with their faces mutilated beyond recognition. It looks like they were killed and then their faces were mutilated. He casts death tales.

The person ulimately responsible for this death was Lorgalis. The murderer was Thog. The deceased died to give Thog an alternate identity. Thog found him in an ally, set up a meeting, paralyzed him and killed him after stealing his idenity.

The second body is pretty much the same story. But he was the guy who smuggled Thog into the city. He was a member of the dockworkers guild.

Back at the villa, the staff is serving breakfast, Oathar enjoys his meal. The gardener will be gardening today and asks if they might hold off trampling the lawn for a while. Such as with griffins. Plus, there will be extra gardening staff laying down some new grass.

Imre teleports the first body to the lab for further research. Alynna, Haeraan, and Imre head down to the lab for more forensic analysis. They find a tatoo on the leg of the guy. It appears to be a woman. It says, "Betty". Alynna casts passage origin on the tatoo label. The name of the author is Samuel Ink, about two years ago, and was done in Stroane. Restore Manuscript (which is technically necromancy in this context) reveals a buxom redhead with curly redhair of shoulder length. Imre has Kyrik copy the tattoo and then disposes of the body.

Imre, Kyrik, and Haeraan head down to Stroane to look for Sam Ink and ask around for him. They bribe the guy to identify the tattooee. Sam rats out Bobby Flay, the cook. A ship's cook to be precise. Betty is still around here in Stroane. Bobby's ship was something like the clam or the mussle. Or right! It was the Sand Orlini!

Then they head to the Boar's Head bar looking for Betty. They find her. Bobby is apparently off making his fortune on the Kaitaine/Danarchis/Selkai run. Imre charms her, and has her think of her boyfriend Bobby. From her description , they make a passable sketch.

We decide to bait some traps and throw an autumn games part to try and lure out an assassin. We decide the best thing to do is have a giant street fare/party filled with children. That will lure the assassin out.

Imre reports all this to Gireg Jan.

Oathar goes to contact the Blue Gulls. They go to investigate the smuggler.

Oathar gets a message from Agonar: "The man in the iron mask is in the harbor."

Oathar finds a couple of corpses in the harbor and teleports them to the lab for Imre to investigate. One was killed by his shipmates in an argument. The other was welching on the thieves guild. They both got rubbed out for the obvious reasons. Drat. Oathar gets rid of the corpses and finds a ship in the harbor named "The Man in the Iron Mask". The boat is from up north and has no registered cargo. Oathar checks them out and finds they were hired to bring that guy here.

Orhan 3 Day 69 TE 6065

We activate plan street fair. We shapshift and misfeel as our SOs and send them away. Alynna gets some Chargramai there to save any kids if needed.

Then we wander around as targets. We mingle.

Chef Mormito serves us corn dogs. Chef Kinichi serves us sushi.

Finally we mingle up to Chef Riback. The chef asks "Luna" if she'd like to see his knife skills demonstration. Chef Riback throws a knife up in the air and attacks "Luna". "She" dodges.

We fight!
