Orhan 5 Day 11 TE 6065

We negotiate for a bit and then discuss possibilities for evacuating his entire hive to Zor. 6*6*6 members in a hive. Many of which are off being ridden at any particular time. It'll be tricky. Perhaps we can use the wish we win to do it.

Haeraan has a dream:

"He's on the shore of Folenn. A fleet of ships approaches. Behind him is a Lord of Essense in the distance. The LoE raises his hands and as the ships come in a bladestorm takes them out. One survivor struggles to shore and collapses. Darkness comes. Later that same young man in desert clothes comes out and huddles in a cave waiting out the bladestorm. The cave is covered and he's trapped. He tries to get out and can't. So he goes deeper into the cave and comes to a set of caverns the riding bugs. He befriends them and they take him in. Later on, he rides a bug bursting out from below the ground and fly around."

Then another dream:

"In a classroom, Haeraan scoops up some ants from the any farm and puts them in a baggie. He takes them home, and they overrun his backyard and his neighbors start spraying for them." Bugriders of Zor

Haeraan Vision Behinds on the race course. Bladestorms don't seem to follow him around.

The jewel knights don't know much about the man with no name. He stays in the deep desert and only comes to town to run the race. He doesn't care about Jewel Wells. He probably has a wind flute. But that's about all they know.

Oathar tries to contact any local loremasters through the jewel knights. They'll keep an eye out for one for him.

We go to negotiate with the man with no name. Kyrik talks to them. It turns out he's a Vorlon and a Shadow both. After some discussion, we get across that we're from Jaiman, where there is a vast desert. Kyrik gets mindreamed. He spills all about Zor and Armageddon both. He says, "We are agreed." Then he goes back to ignoring us.

Meanwhile, Oathar tries to get Secretariat's rider drunk. She's a wilely one though, so Oathar gets more drunk than she does. Oathar and she eventually stagger off to their rooms... As she staggers off, Haeraan studies her.

Orhan 5 Day 12 TE 6065

The race!!!

Riding roll /20 drop fractions = % of race completed. Our bugs get us a +15 to the rolls.

"Start your bugs!"

"On your marks! Get set! Bug!"

3/4 through the race, Alynna's bug starts flying for a hop and then lands... !!!

At the last moment, Bug Lass betrays Haeraan's slowing him just enough to tie for third!!!! But no on enotices, so the result stands. We all get medals, the man with no name gets a wish. We get 17500, Bug lass get 2500.

Orhan 5 Day 13 TE 6065

That night, the man with no name comes. The bugs will send 150 to fight at Armageddon, once we have moved the hive to Zor. Either on their own, or as cavalry.

Oathar writes a proclamation granting the Clacks citizenship in Zor, to be settled in Alynna's duchy. Alynna signs it and all is done.

Oathar asks the man with no name what his name is. "My given name is Arthus, but I have not gone by that in many a century." Alynna recognizes that as a Dyar name.

Alynna asks about what her new subjects need for comfort. They mostly eat smaller bugs and things, but they *will* eat Lugraki. They don't really like fighting for their dinner, but they could in a pinch.

Imre and Arthus get the race official, who summons his genii. Arthus wishes for himself, Imre, their equipment, and all of the bugs of the Clack-clack-clack hive to be teleported to Arakeen in Zor.

Orhan 5 Day 14 TE 6065

We go shopping again with our winnings.

Kyrik finds "The Book of Names" Once per week it will give us the true name of anyone we desire. Low low price of two souls.

How about the "Universal Primer". 2 ranks of written in any written language you know of. 1500 gold. Kyrik buys it.

Oathar facetiosly asks about "On Becoming a God". He doesn't have it, but he can get it. Cost only one soul.

They do have the Book of Pages, a blank book that has an infinite number of pages. Kyrik buys it for 500 gold.

Haeraan looks for a wand that casts Wall of Butterflies once a day, but all they've got is Wall of Gnats, Wall of Locusts, and Wall of Ladybugs. A Wall of Ladybugs wand is only 50 gold. Haeraan buys it.

Oathar asks for a present for Arisia, and mosly only finds the necklace of the Dark Heart. He passes.

Orhan 5 Day 15 TE 6065

Kyrik has a dream.

In the dream, all of the party members are constantly slapping Haeraan. There also a lot of trekking up and down and around, and back and forth, and up and back. Deluxe Tents are shredded by bladestorms. Blinky follow us around. Lot's of pointless combats. Finally, we come to a castle. Mounted on the front of the castle are giant crystal formations. Standing in front of the castle are a pair of Jewel Knights. As we arrive, they hail him and escort him into the castle. Inside, he hears the hum of Althan Machinery.

For using a wish to save the bugs, we get 1 1/3 fate points!

From the bladestorm we each get an item that fits in any slot, but is fixed once assigned. It provides a +5 for joint activities. Woo!

Alynna and folk travel up to Zor to check in on the bugs.

We do not have the mouth parts necessary to actually speak bug. The bugs think the place is not bad. There's some discussion of radiation safety, but Oathar is sure it's not a big problem. Alynna gives a Lugraki briefing. Arthus will stay with the bugs.

Mornan Xaon comes by in a couple of days to inspect his new citizens. They'd probably make a great heavy cavalry. He's a bit grumpy, but we calm him down.

Haeraan delivers the Wand of Night Light and the Wand of Lady Bugs and the metalic spheres for Luna.

Arisia decides to stay for a while and study the bugs, so we leave her there and Oathar sends the skyship up to pick her up.

Haeraan briefs the Duke of Prevan on Armageddon.
