In which our heroes ...

We decide to go to the Hrazi in Mulira. We go.
We decide to head to a city nearby and ask what Hrazi approach protocols.
Orhan 3 Day 10 TE 6063
We pick Mazar at the river delta in eastern Mulira. There are various
ships in port. One is of the Alliance. We check out the laws of Mazar,
the Pillar City. Murder = death. Manslaughter = death or life. Theft =
repatriation of good and hand.
We head into the tavern of the Silver Fishes and pump the bartender for
info.
Then we head to the temple of Valris. We say we joined the temple and
want to look at the local history collection. Kyrik identifies himself
as Scathen of Danarchis. All that gets written down in the book. We get
taken to a study room. An archivist shows up and asks what the heck is
going on. He says we lied about who we are and he wants explanations. Well,
except for Oathar, who is perfectly honest about everything. He's great.
The archivist asks that we talk to priests of Kuor about other stuff.
Kyrik gets into ancient history.
We go to bars and ask around. Down south the Hrazi and Centaurs have a
mutual defense alliance against humans. They declared their lands off limits.
Travellers still go back and forth.
Oathar goes to the temple of Kuor, and says he is on a great mission that
can not be spoken of unless there are the most holy of vows taken. The
preists confer and says, "You are in luck... come."
They lead him to the high altar where an angel of the god of kings awaits.
"Speak thy name and purpose. It shall not be spread further than this room."
"Know then, that I am Lord Admiral Oathar Mealora, Archduke of Central
Zor, husband of Princess Arisia of Selkai, Minion of Neela, Loremaster
of the Central Emir. My purpose is to investigate this area and determine
its suitability to raise forces against the Great Enemy of All."
The angel says, "You speak the truth!"
"Though you may raise forces some here, you should know that your main
citadel lies elsewhere. Those whom you work directly for are constrained.
There are rules. We, however, knowing rules better than others, know the
loopholes better than others."
"Holy one, I shall be greatful to receive thy wisdom."
"You must cleanse the city of Quelbourne.
It is there you will be able to coordinate your armies and raise forces
without being disturbed. This is why you were given the Boundary of the
Gods. It is only with that, that you can redeem the cursed land Quelbourne
sits on."
"So must it be!"
Alynna goes to hang with soldiers at the Temple of Cay. She finds that
many mercenary companies are forming and moving slowly south, but the Hrazi
and Centaurs are holding them off for now because they have no overarching
organization. Hrazi and Centaurs mostly fight from extreme range. Pesky
to fight therefore. Current king of Mazara is Hrothgar V.
Kyrik researches the ancient places, and mostly finds the Ahrentorg. There
don't seem to be any old Earthwarden Complexes... There is however the
Whispering Palace. It's a late SE sprawling ruin. There's also the Isle
of Ghosts, the entire island was once a city but now lies in ruins.
That night, Haeraan goes to the temple of Rianne. They recognize him and
let him in. "I come for insight into the path I must walk to prepare for
my battle." Up at the altar, there are a couple of knights praying. and
Haeraan joins them. After a while a priest comes over and asks if there
is anything he'd like to talk about. Haeraan gets taken to a private room.
He swears the guy to secrecy. "I prepare to march on the Ahrentorg." "You
have a dark path ahead of you." "I embrace it."
He spends the night and asks for visions. He dreams about the towers
and gets a series of images that are all possibilities. In one of them,
Kyrik swoops down on his griffin and flies down a long trench towards a
tower in the distance. They do the trench chase thing. Kyrik chucks a grenade
into the hatch as he swoops on by. Then the tower explodes.
In another vision he hears flight of the Valkyries plays and a giant wedge
of Hrazi appear over the horizon, but then the bridge too far music starts
and they start swarming around the tower, and getting killed, but they
bombard it from above.
In another vision, this lugraki in a big black helmet inside the tower
flipping switches. Then suddenly a giant explosion happens inside and the
tower bursts into flame and falls over. "Sabotage!"
In another, there's an image of Imre standing upon a hill composed of
dead lugraki and his hand is in the air with crackling power. A giant crack
opens and the tower falls into it. There's a shower of flame and doom and
he vanishes from view.
In one final image, there's a tower sitting there empty and alone. Undisturbed
as days and months and years pass by and it just stays empty as time passes.
Then on another question entirely, Haeraan has a vision of a train on
rails, and at a station a bunch of Hrazi get on board. Then more get on
and then he goes to Quelborne and they get off. Then he icks people up
and take them to Quelborne and so our forces grow. There are a bunch of
lugraki and some jewel knights, and hrazi and elves and some centaurs who
can't decide if they should come, and Trogli and giants too. There's also
a spaceship above the train but that's unclear.
Orhan 3 Day 11 TE 6063
Oathar goes to the temple of shaal to speak to the acolyte who tends the
chapel of Neela. He downloads 20 levels of Financial Ju-Jitsu, Bureaucratic
Kung Fu, and Trading Karate directly into the acolytes brain. Then he gives
him a hundred gold to add to the temple of Shaal general fund, (like a
virus), and indoctrinates him into the mysteries of double entry accounting.
Muh-ha-ha-ha!
