In which our heroes ...

Orhan 3 Day 44 TE 6063

Imre's angel friend shows up and scolds Imre. The little angel lifts the soul up out of Alynna's body. Imre collects up the body. (We happen to be here in Imre's duchie of Zor at the moment.)

Folks put the fishermen back.

Doom!!

We return with Alynna to Quellbourne. The populace is devistated at their loss.

We have a vigil taht night. Nothing happens.

Orhan 3 Day 45 TE 6063

The vigil continues. Haeraan and Imre are in it for the long haul. Kyrik does push ups as tribute and pennance.

Orhan 3 Day 46 TE 6063

The vigil continues. A chill wind rises. It's followed by a chill mist.

The vigil takers are making con rolls now.

Orhan 3 Day 47 TE 6063

The next day is damp and misty. The vigil continues.

Around noon, it gets a little lighter, and the fog parts for a moment, some rays of sunlight stream down and the god construct starts vibrating. So Imre activates the god construct in Cleric of Cay mode. But instead of getting a cleric, they get Alynna! Well, she's dressed like cleric.

The vigil keepers interrogate her. Alynna describes her encounter with Cay. So, He sent her back as the god construct so she could explore all the different ways there are to serve Him.

Alynna reappears on the meter and her mana bars also seem to be larger and her hit points smaller. They're also slightly translucent.

We kill the fatted rutabega and have a feast!

Then we strategize for the future.

Orhan 3 Day 48 TE 6063

We notice that Alynna seems to have a 25 hr countdownometer, so we head off to visit the half-elves.

We scout around where they were last reported, and they seem to be heading into unfriendly territory, so we head after them to try and catch up.

Sadly, elves are rather hard to track.

While Haeraan is vison behinding, Oathar and Haeraan vanish invisibly as people notice someone approaching from the north.

It's a clunking/clanking sounds heading out of the mist. Yup, it's the iron wind!

We fight! Alynna repels undead. They keep coming, but Alynna blows one up with repel undead true. They respond with counter attacks.

Alynna does take a slaying crit from their fire bomb, but survives easily. We clean up the rest.

Haeraan continues staring into his vision behind looking for the elves. They apparently continued on south from here.

It seems the iron wind was made out of some of the fishing villager guys.

We spend some time with maps and try and jump ahead of their likely path when we lose the trail again.

We do find about a hundred elves setting up at a rest encampment.

We talk to them and they are willing to move to Quellborne assuming we can recover that which the Iron Wind stole. The totems of the forest spirits. These were left behind for the iron wind. They can't find out what happened to them. We will go investigate.

Sadly, we discover that the lootz of the elves is probably in the area we agreed to not mees with Sulthon N'Shang in. Sigh.

Oh well, there's nothing for it, so we head in stealthily.

We get to the first abandoned village and see the totem. The totem is a 10' high wood thing. Haeraan notices a waiting presense in the area. It's not cursed. The totem is dedicated to the spirit of the wolf.

Oathar attempts to teleport the totem to Quellborne, but there's something saying nope! Not a willing target and it doesn't want to go. Stupid totem. Alynna summons a wolf. The wolf isn't helpful. Haeraan meditates next to the totem. He communes with the wolf spirit. It talks to him and they agree that ti's time to go to Quellborne. "He will go and you will take this spirit (the summoned wolf) along with him. She will reside in the new city."

We teleport with the totem and the wolf back to Quellborne. Alynna takes the totem to the elf encampment.

Wolf down, Owl, stag, seal, bear, and hawk remain.

We find another abandoned village, this one with dead bodies around the totem. Oh wait, those are undead. As it turns out though, we have three channelers now, and we bombard them with repel undeads until they burst.

Alynna summons a stag and then communes with the totem. We weep for his people, and convince him that we've cleansed Quellborne. We teleport it all back to Quellborne.

We head off to the next totem. The hawk village. Sadly, Detect enemies indicates there are about a half dozen iron wind in there somewhere. Oathar turns into a hawk and heads up to talk to the hawk spirit. He's on board if we take out the iron wind first. Sadly, Oathar, still in his hawk body, gets possessed by the hawk spirit and attacks preemptively. Craw!!! Well, at least it's a good distraction, as all of the iron wind attack Oathar giving everyone else open shots. Alynna opens up on them again. One runs away. Oathar (the hawk spirit) burst into flame and attacks again! A great claw attack! We fight! Finally, we slay them all!
