In which our heroes ...

 

Orhan 2 Day 16 TE 6064

Alynna and Oathar go to the Great Library of Nomikos. We research the god of blood and Ebon Mage. Man, those people have a lot of gods. The ebon mage came from the late 3400 and was all about dimensional magic and planar interfaces. But he blew up the mountain range about 150 miles wide. Hordes of demons were released leading to the hellfire wars.

That night, Haeraan and Imre head in to take the seal to the underground. But before they do, we prepare for Alynna to copy it. Sadly, Oathar determines that the seal is magically bugged both by the god of the city and with an essence locator beacon. Sigh.

We deactivate the spells for 24 hours, and Imre and Haeraan go to the meet looking like Oathar and Alynna looking like elves. They get taken to the underground and turn in the item. The item is placed in a Kregora box. They are told they'll be contacted for guild induction. For now, they get tokens to not lose.

They then go talk to Master Gaitan, and get told to ask the underground for a list of special places. The Ebon mage cult probably made arrangements with the guild to stay away from their bases, so they'll ahve to supply us with a list of places we shouldn't go.

Alynna investigates the elves living in the forest down in the starcrown empire. They've never been on good terms with the humans, especially since the human outlaw magic.

Orhan 2 Day 17 TE 6064

We prepare a ransom note to exchange our blackmail document sfrom the magistrate's safe for immunity guaranteed by the god of blood. They go for that deal and will solemnize it tomorrow at noon.

Imre and Haeraan join the theives guild and are dedicated to Edrick, the god of thieves. They need to shed blood on the alter and roll teh dice and drink from the cup. Sadly, they are not looking to sign up with a new god today. Imre is thinking about if this is allowed, when suddenly Blinky shows up.

A combat is about to break out, but Imre gives blinky 2 fate points, and all is well. The thieves think they inducted them, even though they didn't and they get a basic orientation into the guild.

Imre heads back to report to Gaitan about his new knowledge about the thieves guilds area. Gaitan pays a couple of street urchins to check out the likely suspects.

Orhan 2 Day 18 TE 6064

We make the deal in the public square and pay someone to take the incriminating documents to the magistrate. Then Alynna and I head back to our inn rooms.

We all return to the city and set up in a different inn.

Gaitan comes back and tells us of his two candidate places. One a tenament house with a sealed room. One a mansion with a party going on tomorrow night. Imre uses his power to determine the tenement is the right place to find the mages. We sneak our way into their headquarters. Alynna disarms trapbefore us as we go. We get to a stairway leading down. We're pretty good, but haeraan notices that the building went on alert for some reason.

Alynna is about to take another step down the stairway when suddenly Blinky shows up. Blinky heads down (for a fate oint) and captures everyone for us to interrogate. They're terrified. They rat out Nabron who has the pearl now. He's half-mad. He's lives out in the Bola wastes. They descibe the pearl. It's fist-sized. The pearl creates undead.

Next plan, head into the wastes and fight the undead while confronting the guy.

Orhan 2 Day 19 TE 6064

We track the bad guy into the wastes. That night, the watches see occasional flasshes of power in teh distance. Necromantic power... Haeraan dreams of 2001 a space oddysey, with undead.At midnight, Alynna turns into a paladin of Cay. Next time, battle!
