Orhan 2 Day 68 TE 6054

Having returned to their villa, devved to 11, and well-shopped, our heroes readied themselves for another adventure. But a mysterious visitor arrives at the front gate. The maid let's in an old man. Lo! The six fingered man with violet eyes, no less. The one that Kyrik is constantly searching for. He mocks us for losing Vallandra so Oathar gets in a fight with him. Oathar immediately loses and is cursed into silence. Kyrik greets the guy in a strange language and he calms down. He says that it is unfortunate that we only have five for we will need six. "Be on the lookout, I will guide the sixth to you." Then the god construct walks in and exchanges enigmatic glances with the old man before it turns back into a little statue. Oathar drinks water.

Orhan 2 Day 69 TE 6054

The next day, we get a note from Gireg Jan who wants us to meet him at his place. We head over there. On the way, we encounter an elf monk. We encounter this monk as someone bursts out of Gireg Jan's house and is tripped by the elf. The burster is bleeding but resists the parties sleep spells. We tussle with the bloody woman, while D. sprints into Gireg Jan's house. Combat breaks out in the street between us and the figure. We kill the assailant quickly. Suddenly, the god construct starts vibrating, so Imre takes it out and sets it on the ground. The elf takes *her* god construct out sets it down next to ours. The assailant, who Imre cast lifekeeping on, just in case, has a little fragment of a mirror in her hand as well as a dagger.

Meanwhile inside, D. rushes in and finds the body of Gireg Jan inside. Oathar burst in and is also shocked. Imre finally bursts in. Gireg Jan has been stabbed and poisoned and spelled. Oathar casts neutralize poison, while Imre gets down into it.

Meanwhile outside, the god constructs turn into people. They look at each other and bow. Then they step into each other and suddenly there's only one.

The redcapes arrive and Oathar fronts with them, while Imre and Haeraan head off to the temple of Eissa with Gireg Jan. The elf introduces herself as Alynna. Oathar calls the lore masters on Gireg Jan's mirror. He is instructed to stay at Gireg's house and await assistance. She was just passing by when it all went crazy. We invite Alynna to the villa, as she wants her god construct back.

Meanwhile at the temple of Eissa, the priestesses are pretty disturbed. Many spells later, they declare that he will indeed recover. Yay! We'll have to come back in a few days.

Meanwhile at Gireg Jan's house, a couple of elves show up. Oathar tells them what happened and one of them heads off to the temple of Eissa. The remaining elf wanders around and eventually says, "Hmph, this is bad. The Cult of Stars." We try to find out if he was working on something in particular, but the loremaster elf, Dari doesn't know what he was doing. So Dari walks around and finds Gireg's unfindable wall safe after glancing around a bit. (Detect Illusion) He pulls out an odd shaped chest. "Ah ha!" It's a sealed book, but we can't examine it without Gireg's passwords and spells. Searching more, we (Dari) find an invitation to a ball being given by the prince.

We talk to Anton over the Dari-phone, and he tells us he'll look into Alynna but for now we can tell her we've some loremaster connections, but shouldn't mention Karilon or the like.

We all meet back at the villa. We try to convince Alynna to stay with us, and she seems fairly amenable, since she's lived such a sheltered life, as a Changramai death monk! But she's on sabbatical, so it's OK. We fill Alynna in on the lost eight orders and our speculations.

To indoctrinate her properly, we take her to the Cold Barley Soup Kitchen. Yum! First round is on him! We talk to Vella. Byron shows up! We talk to him too! He's bicycle maker to the prince now! Cool.

Orhan 2 Day 70 TE 6054

There's an invitation to the ball for Oathar to the prince's ball in eight days. We spend the morning trying to destroy the unholy dagger. Kyrik is thwarted as it seems resistant to his mithral shatterstrikes, and then Haeraan takes it to the temple and they dip it in holy water. It sizzles and only the handle is left. It gets given to Imre as a souvenier.

Imre give Alynna a tour of his museum of lost evil.

Orhan 3 Day 2 TE 6054

6 days to the ball!

Gireg is awake! We cluster around his bedside. Oh no! The last thing he remembers is getting an invitation to the prince's ball. He thinks there was something important about the ball, but he doesn't remember. We introduce Alynna.

We ask gireg how to open his book, and then wonder how to get it. A loremaster decloaks in the corner and says Dari has already been contacted. A few minutes later Dari shows up and presents the book to Gireg. "Master Jan" Gireg opens the book and finds a piece of paper inside that says, "News has reached me here than an agent of the circle will strike against prince Quterris in the next ten days. It is important that he be warned, though anonymously. If necessary, consider informing a loremaster as well. I suspect the operative will be a cult woman." It is signed "VK"

We fret a bit. Eventually, we decided to go and have D. give the note to Kyse Pharnese and have him get the info anonymously to the prince. He's a bit dubious but decides to go along with it.

5 days to the ball!

Ten big guys in armor show up at the villa. Koren Maas is with them. He interrogates "the residents of this house." He's very impressive. We are very impressed. He decides to take it seriously. "I guess we will see you at the ball."
