Here's a list of some of my favorite sites around the web, in no particular order:
Carol's Website - The website of my beloved.
Football Outsiders - I'm a big football fan, specifically of the New England Patriots. Football Outsiders is simply one of the best and most intelligent football sites on the web. It uses statistical analysis tools for football similar to sabermetric techniques used for baseball.
In Passing - An absolutely hilarious website where the author overhears amusing things people say while conversing in public and then posts them online.
Sucks to be These Guys - This is one amusing link that a friend of mine found once. The pictures tell the story.
Mathworld - One of the best online encyclopedias of mathematics I've ever found. If you need to know something about math, from high school algebra to graduate level mathematical theory, look here first.
WWW Tide and Current Predictor - I sail a lot, in a little Coronado 15. It's on a trailer, so I need to worry about tides. I've found that this site has a great deal of very accurate tide information for free, although the interface is a little cumbersome.
User Friendly, Dilbert, and Foxtrot - OK, I'm a bit of a geek. And if you're like me in this respect, all three of these comics are well worth reading. Beware, digging through User Friendly's archives in particular is a certain threat to workplace productivity.
CNN - Because it's important to know what's going on in the world.
Best of Craigslist - Another sure threat to workplace productivity, but if you're bored...
And finally, this is purely pointless. Which of course makes it amusing enough to include.
