I bought this kit to satisfy the staged flight requirement for my NARTREK Bronze, which it succeeded in fulfilling on its first try. The kit was a big pain to build. It repeatedly required smearing glue way inside tiny tubing with a piece of spare balsa, which proved mostly inaccurate and led to what I believe is an ill-secured thrust ring. I think there's a good chance that the thrust ring will break loose and the motor will fly through the upper stage.

The middle fins have through-the-wall mounting, which is nice, but they are composed of two separate pieces, which is annoying. The smaller piece has a little through-the-wall notch that managed to break off on all four of the fins while I was cutting the balsa out of the sheet.

Also, there is no motor retention mechanism included on either the booster or the sustainer. I wasn't missing any pieces from the kit, it just seems to rely on friction fitting which I am a bit uncomfortable with.

Finally, the default paint scheme is hideous. I was so fed up with this rocket by the time it came to painting it that I didn't put any work into it and it came out looking like the Swedish National Rocket or something.
