Senior Lecturer in Music. M.M., Juilliard School of Music. Acclaimed NYC debut at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, 1982 as the recipient of the coveted Solo Recitalist Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Deveau has concertized extensively throughout North America appearing as guest soloist with the Boston, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Houston and St. Louis Symphonies, the Minnesota Orchestra, Miami and Portland Symphonies, and abroad with l’Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, France and the Qingdao Symphony in China. Solo and chamber appearances throughout the US, Canada, Europe and China, including appearances at Washington’s Kennedy Center, Beneroya Hall in Seattle, Town Hall and Merkin Hall in NYC, Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh, Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, Spivey Hall in Atlanta, and Zhong Shan Hall in Beijing. Chamber music with members of the Juilliard, St. Lawrence, Ying, Vermeer, Shanghai, Borromeo and many other string quartets. Festival appearances at Tanglewood, Caramoor, Wolf Trap, La Jolla, Prussia Cove (UK), Mainly Mozart, San Diego, and Sommerfest, Minneapolis. Artistic Director of the Rockport Chamber Music Festival. Masterclasses at Harvard, Dartmouth, NEC. Recordings for BBC, CBC, NPR, CCTV, Beijing and Centaur.
