8/7/86 forum request: list_users, lsu Syntax: lsu {-control_args} Syntax as an active request: [lsu {-control_args}] Function: Prints a list of selected participants of a meeting. For each participant selected, the person_id, project_id, current transaction number (last one seen), the date/time last attended, and several flags are listed. As an active request, it returns a list of person_ids. Control arguments: -after TIME, -af TIME list only those participants who have attended since the given time. -all, -a specifies that all participants be listed, including those who are not participating in the meeting. -ascending, -asc sort in ascending order. This is the default for sorting by name. This may not be used if invoked as an active request. -attending, -at specifies that only participants who are currently attending this meeting be listed. -before TIME, -be TIME list only those participants who have not attended since the given time. -brief, -bf suppresses the "No participants were selected." error message. -descending, -dsc sort in descending order. This is the default for sorting by time last attended. This may not be used if invoked as an active request. -eligible, -elig prints a list of users and projects that are eligible to attend the meeting. Read-only eligibility is denoted by an *. This control argument may not be used if invoked as an active request, nor may it be combined with any other control argument. -header, -he print the header. Not valid if invoked as an active request. (Default) -include_deleted, -idl includes records for participants who have been deleted by the chairman. -long, -lg print the "No participants were selected." error message if no participants were selected. (Default) -meeting meeting_name, -mtg meeting_name specifies that participants of the 'meeting_name' meeting are to be listed. The default is to list participants of the current meeting. -names_only only prints the names of the selected participants. Not valid if invoked as an active request. -no_header, -nhe suppresses printing of the header. Not valid if invoked as an active request. -no_notify, -nnt list only those users who do not have the notify switch set. -no_participating, -npart list only those users who are no longer participating. -no_read_only, -nro specifies that read-only participants not be listed. -notify, -nt specifies that only participants with the notify flag on should be listed. -only_deleted, -odl lists only information for participants who have been deleted by the chairman. -only_non_deleted, -ondl lists only information for participants who have not been deleted by the chairman. (Default) -participating, -part list only those users who are participating. (Default) -project project_ids, -pj project_ids specifies that only information about participants on the specified project be given. All arguments following -project until the next control argument are taken as project_ids. -read_only, -ro specifies that only read-only participants be listed. -seen trans_spec specifies that only participants who have read the specified transaction should be listed. Type "help trans_specs" for more information on transaction specifiers. -sort TYPE specifies that the output be sorted by TYPE. TYPE is either "name" for sorting by the Person_id of participants, "last_seen" or "ls" for sorting by highest transaction seen, or "date_time_attended" or "dta" for sorting by the time the participant last attended the meeting. This control argument may not be used if list_users is invoked as an active function. -totals, -tt specifies that only the total number of participants selected be printed. -unseen trans_spec specifies that only participants who have not read the specified transaction should be listed. Type "help trans_specs" for more information on transaction specifiers. -user person_ids selects information about the named participants only. All arguments following -user until the next control argument are taken as person_ids. Notes: The displayed flags have the following meanings: "d" indicates that the chairman has deleted that participant, "r" indicates that the user has removed himself from participation in the meeting, and the "n" flag means that the user has the "notify flag" turned on, and the "o" flag means that the user is an observer and may not enter transactions. ----------------------------------------------------------- Historical Background This edition of the Multics software materials and documentation is provided and donated to Massachusetts Institute of Technology by Group BULL including BULL HN Information Systems Inc. as a contribution to computer science knowledge. Users consider that Multics provided the best software architecture for managing computer hardware properly and for executing programs. Many subsequent operating systems incorporated Multics principles.
