The entry 25* fn_name$fn_name is located using hcs_$make_ptr, and a scalfn_info 26* block is created and put at the head of the known function list. 27* Hence, all user_defined functions are searched prior to builtin 28* functions. 29* END_DESCRIPTION 30**/ 31 32 /* HISTORY: 33* 34* 77-06-01 J. A. Weeldreyer: Initially Written. 35* 36* 80-10-17 Rickie E. Brinegar: Use of hcs_$make_ptr was changed to expand_pathname_ 37* and cv_ptr_ to permit the use of absolute pathnames with declare for scalar 38* functions. 39* 40* 80-11-03 Rickie E. Brinegar: Use of cv_ptr_ changed to cv_entry_ so that 41* the proper linkage information is set up. 42* 43* 44* 81-01-19 Jim Gray : added correct handling of old version database callers, 45* so that dsl_v1_$declare gets called for them. 46* 47* 81-01-29 Jim Gray : removed references to mdbm_data_$current_version, 48* using a constant instead to allow for future db version expansion. 49* 50* 81-06-23 Jim Gray : added call to mrds_dsl_get_builtins so that builtin 51* functions are defined on an as needed basis. 52* 53* 82-05-28 Mike Kubicar : removed incompatible change where dsl_$declare 54* required the use of pathnames instead of refnames. Now both are permitted. 55* 56* 83-06-20 Davids: Removed check for old version database and the call 57* to v1 code if it was an old version db (old version dbs can no longer 58* be opened) 59**/ 60 61 dcl (dbi, /* Input: data base index */ 62 code, /* Output: status code */ 63 icode) fixed bin (35); /* internal status code */ 64 65 dcl fn_name char (*); /* Input: name of function */ 66 67 dcl fn_entry entry variable; /* entry of function */ 68 69 dcl mrds_error_$invalid_db_index fixed bin (35) ext; 70 71 dcl null builtin; 72 73 dcl cv_entry_ entry (char (*), ptr, fixed bin (35)) returns (entry); 74 dcl mu_database_index$get_resultant_model_pointer entry (fixed bin (35), ptr); 75 dcl mrds_dsl_thread_fn_list entry (ptr, entry, fixed bin (35)); 76 77 declare sys_info$max_seg_size fixed bin (35) ext;/* largest segment */ 78 declare (fixed, rel, addr) builtin; 79 declare mrds_dsl_get_builtins entry (ptr, fixed bin (35)); /* defines builtin functions */ 80 81 call mu_database_index$get_resultant_model_pointer (dbi, dbcb_ptr); 82 if dbcb_ptr = null then call error (mrds_error_$invalid_db_index); 83 84 fn_entry = cv_entry_ (fn_name, null (), icode); 85 if icode ^= 0 then 86 call error (icode); 87 88 /* BEGIN CHANGE 81-06-23 ******************************************** */ 89 90 if dbcb.sfi_ptr = null () then do; 91 call mrds_dsl_get_builtins (dbcb_ptr, icode); 92 if icode ^= 0 then call error (icode); 93 end; 94 95 /* END CHANGE 81-06-23 *********************************************** */ 96 97 call mrds_dsl_thread_fn_list (dbcb_ptr, fn_entry, icode); /* thread at head of list */ 98 if icode ^= 0 then 99 call error (icode); 100 101 code = 0; 102 exit: return; 103 104 error: proc (cd); 105 106 /* error procedure */ 107 108 dcl cd fixed bin (35); 109 110 code = cd; 111 go to exit; 112 113 end error; 114 1 1 /* BEGIN mrds_dbcb.incl.pl1 -- jaw, 11/7/78 */ 1 2 1 3 1 4 1 5 /****^ HISTORY COMMENTS: 1 6* 1) change(85-11-17,Dupuis), approve(85-12-16,MCR7314), 1 7* audit(86-02-04,Brunelle), install(86-02-05,MR12.0-1013): 1 8* This entry is being made to cover the change made on 85-07-01 by Thanh 1 9* Nguyen. This is needed 1 58* since modify uses a different vector type (general) than does store. 1 59* 1 60* 82-09-20 Davids: changed names of (store modify)_vector to 1 61* (store modify)_vector_ptr. Also (delete modify)_tuple_by_id to 1 62* (delete modify)_tuples_by_id. added the element cursor_storage_ptr 1 63* which should be inited to null and will be set by mu_cursor_manager_$get 1 64* during the first call. 1 65* 1 66* 82-09-21 Davids: renamed cursor_storage_ptr to cursor_ptrs_storage_ptr 1 67* since it deals with the pointers to the cursors and not the cursors 1 68* themelves and added the element cursor_storage_area_ptr which points 1 69* to the area where the cursors are kept. 1 70* 1 71* 82-09-22 Davids: renamed the transact_ctl_seg to transactions_needed. 1 72* the transact_ctl_seg always had a value of 0 and really didn't mean 1 73* anything. 1 74* 1 75* 82-09-22 Mike Kubicar : added create_relation, create_index and 1 76* destroy_relation_by_opening to relmgr_entries. They are needed 1 77* by mrds_dsl_define_temp_rel. 1 78* 1 79* 82-09-24 Donna Woodka : added put_tuple to relmgr_entries. It 1 80* is needed by mu_store. 1 81* 1 82* 82-11-12 Davids: changed the declaration of the access_costs from fixed 1 83* bin to float bin since the values are not integers. 1 84* 1 85* 83-02-02 Davids: added the dbc_uid element. This will allow mrds to make 1 86* sure that the dbc_ptr still points to the correct segment. Element was 1 87* added to the end of the structure to allow modules that don't use 1 88* the element to continue to reference the dbcb structure without recompiling. 1 89* 1 90* 83-02-25 Davids: added the concurrency_on and rollback_on elements. This donation is made also to give evidence of the common contributions of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Bell Laboratories, General Electric, Honeywell Information Systems Inc., Honeywell BULL Inc., Groupe BULL and BULL HN Information Systems Inc. to the development of this operating system. Multics development was initiated by Massachusetts Institute of Technology Project MAC (1963-1970), renamed the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in the mid 1970s, under the leadership of Professor Fernando Jose Corbato. Users consider that Multics provided the best software architecture for managing computer hardware properly and for executing programs. Many subsequent operating systems incorporated Multics principles. Multics was distributed in 1975 to 2000 by Group Bull in Europe , and in the U.S. by Bull HN Information Systems Inc., as successor in interest by change in name only to Honeywell Bull Inc. and Honeywell Information Systems Inc. . ----------------------------------------------------------- Permission to use, copy, modify, and distribute these programs and their documentation for any purpose and without fee is hereby granted, provided that the below copyright notice and historical background appear in all copies and that both the copyright notice and historical background and this permission notice appear in supporting documentation, and that the names of MIT, HIS, BULL or BULL HN not be used in advertising or publicity pertaining to distribution of the programs without specific prior written permission.
