- Each hologram will be installed by the Museum
- Each hologram will be displayed in its own window
- The method of installation will depend on the nature of the hologram, however, each hologram will be set in the plane of the window frame
- Holograms will be light and heat protected during the daylight hours and be protected on the Museum side during visitor hours
- The individual pieces and the exhibition will be represented (e. g., through text and image panels, video display) on the Museum side during Museum open hours and on the street side during evenings
- Lighting will take place from inside the Gallery in a manner agreed upon by the artist and the MIT Museum
- The Museum will provide lighting instruments to the extent possible, however, in special cases, the Museum will request support and/or equipment from the artist
Artwork Requirements
- Transmission holograms are requested, however, appropriate reflection techniques will be considered
- Holograms must be top-lit
- Pieces must be proportional in size and optical effects to the windows and urban-scale outdoor display
- Content must be appropriate to the environment, occasion and to the public setting of the work
