MIT + K12 videos

The MIT+K12 Program invites MIT students to create informative, entertaining videos on their favorite STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) topics. Videos are designed to inspire learners and educators, and bring the perspectives of MIT students directly to a world-wide audience.

The grassroots filmmaking process allows MIT students to pitch their concept, enlist friends, roommates, and lab partners to work as actors and crew—often filming around campus and dorms. Completed videos are reviewed for accuracy and their ability to encourage young people, and after final approval they are uploaded to
