Meet the Swinger... and other Treasures from the Polaroid Corporation

Polaroid Swinger

Polaroid and MIT have long been partners. Edwin Land, the Cambridge scientist, inventor and founder of the Polaroid Corporation, started what would become his iconic 20th century business in small brick buildings just around the corner from the MIT Museum.

Now you can see a sampling of cameras, photographs and notes donated to the MIT Museum- and a portrait of Lady Gaga taken with a rare large format Polaroid camera. (2nd Floor, MIT Museum)

Learn more about the donation of this significant corporate research and development collection.
