Availability & Hours
The MIT Museum is available seven days a week, after the Museum closes to the public. Events must begin at 6:00 p.m. or later, though a 7:00 p.m. start time is recommended. We do not have any daytime space available for meetings or events.
1st Floor Gallery (Mark Epstein Innovation Gallery)

2nd Floor Galleries (Robots & Beyond, Peterson A and B)

The Museum is easily accessible via public transportation, and $5 validated parking is available at the nearby University Park at MIT garage.
Hosts must select the caterer of their choice from our list of Preferred Caterers.
A 50% deposit is required 60 days prior to the event date to confirm the reservation. MIT departments should contact the Event Rentals Manager for special discounted pricing.
1st Floor Gallery Fee: $2750.00
2nd Floor Galleries Fee: $4000.00 Entire Museum Fee: $6000.00
Additional fees may apply for MIT Police details and a special liquor license for events with a cash bar. Ask the Event Rentals Manager for details on these fees.
Music is permitted in the Museum's galleries. However, we regret that dancing is not permitted anywhere in the Museum.
Tours & Talks
Though food and drink are only allowed in designated galleries, guests are encouraged to explore all of the Museum's exhibitions within the gallery spaces rented for the event. We regret that the Museum is unable to provide staff to offer guided tours or talks during evening events.
